dotpiXels present new team

dotpiXels have announced that they have put together a completely different CS:GO team ahead of the start of EPS Summer.

dotpiXels were the surprise package of the last EPS Germany season, where they finished runners-up to n!faculty to pick up the €2,500 cheque.

But because of that result, dotpiXels lost the core of their team, as they could not prevent their players from being poached by other organisations with more financial possibilities.

Christian "crisby" Schmitt and Tizian "tiziaN" Feldbusch both linked up with ALTERNATE, while Nikola "LEGIJA" Ninic is playing for n!faculty and Marcel "rAx" Klenner for EYES ON U. David "CHEF-KOCH" Nagel is still without a team, but it is likely that he will go back to inactivity again.

The new dotpiXels team will be led by Max "avenue" Höltgen, who returns to the organisation after representing it in 1.6 and also in first EPS season in CS:GO. He will link up with a former teammate of his, Marcus "J0hnny" Gabriel, who played for dotpiXels five years ago, in EAS.

Completing the team are Zhi "icb" Wang Zhou, Simon "exto" Teufel and Koray "xall" Yaman, all of whom played for MANGO in the last EPS season that featured CS:1.6.

dotpiXels will feature the following team in the new EPS season:

Simon "exto" Teufel
Koray "xall" Yaman

I recognize the name to be a turkish name, and I just asked simple question as why does he have german flag when its a turkish name, and I know there are alot of turks in germany, but still, thats not the case Im making. he might be living in germany but he still have to reprisent his roots, IMO

Yeeah, especially with Cheffo ;) He was chatting on readmore some days ago and said that he still loves to play CS but he misses all the LAN-parties (doesn't matter if big or small, if prize money or no prize money...) and without frequent LAN-partys it's just not the same anymore. He's busy with renovating his new home, ... but at the end it's CHEF-KOCH ;) If there will be some good LAN-party coming up in Germany I can see him playing again.

Well, reading some comments in the news piece about mouz pulling out of EPS it seems the CSGO scene in Germany is pretty 'poor' so to speak. Thus I don't think, at least for now, those parties he longs for will pop up any time soon.

Regarding these comments you must understand the current state of the German CS community: When CS:GO replaced CS 1.6 and CSS, most of the CS 1.6 community didn't switch, only a small perecentage did...a lot of 1.6 players went inactive (like most of the known 1.6 players), some kept playing CS 1.6 for fun and many are just lurking on readmore.de and hoping for a miracle or just CS:GO's death (though most of them actually know that this won't bring 1.6 back; the "CS:GO fans" are more located on 99damage.de..readmore.de was known to "hate" Sourcers and there are a lot of CS:GO haters...but the admins still do a great job, thumps up for them). The German CS:GO community isn't big and contains mostly former CSS players, though even a big part of the CSS community keeps playing CSS. In ESL Versus there are still more Germans playing CSS than Germans playing CS:GO. While the "top" of the competitive CSS community switched to CS:GO, a big part of the basis kept playing CSS (in CS 1.6 the "top" retired, a big part of the basis went inactive, a small part kept playing CS 1.6 and a small part witched to CS:GO). You can really say: CS:GO didn't take off in Germany. Countries like Denmark have a bigger CS:GO community than we have. Look at this Danish LAN tournament ("the blast" or something): In Germany not even half as much teams would have attended....in the good old days Germany had a HUGE CS community... Regarding that statement of CHEF-KOCH: This has nothing to do with CS:GO. The LANs already started to disappear years ago...
