MaxFloPlay release CS:GO team

MaxFloPlay have dispensed with the services of their CS:GO division, HLTV.org has learned.

The Polish team had recently made headlines when they replaced two of their players with hopes of going back to the top following a series of mixed results, both online and on LAN.

MaxFloPlay's first event with Krystian "USZLUSiON" Siekański and Piotr "morel" Taterka was supposed to be the €10,000 Prague Challenge, for which the team had already signed up.

However, it seems now that the team's future is now up in the air after longtime member Piotr "peet" Ćwikliński parted company with the rest of the players over internal differences, which ultimately led to the former CS:Source giants losing the support of MaxFloPlay.

"The reason for my departure was a pretty straight open argument," Ćwikliński told HLTV.org.

"A disparity in terms of dedication and commitment in the team left me no other choice but to leave since it was senseless to carry on.

"Considering that and the fact that I was the person who had established the partnership with MaxFloPlaY and, more importantly, who had created the team (Banana-Phone), the organisation decided to release the whole Counter Strike: Global Offensive division.

"As much as grateful I am for a very professional and lucrative cooperation with MaxFloPlaY, and the support we have received throughout the whole time, I am sorry for letting down all the fans and people who cheered for us."

Questioned about his plans for the future, Ćwikliński stated that he is currently inactive, but admitted he could make a comeback if a good opportunity arises.

The former MaxFloPlay team, who sit ninth in ESEA Intermediate, with a 5-2 record, currently have the following four-man roster:

Przemyslaw "ngo" Ciborek
Krystian "USZLUSiON" Siekański
Piotr "morel" Taterka

That's sad CS;GO is not that popular, the end of this game is comming unforunately. But tell me the reasons to organize tournaments with CS:GO on DreamHack or another LAN with ~~15k viewers on stream when they got ~~100k viewerse on LOL/Dota stream at the same time. In my opinion it doesn't make sense for them to make such cups. WCG made first step confirming no cs;go @ 2013, i think there will be more such a decision pretty soon, THAT MAKE ME SAD cause CS:GO is really nice game :<

I'm not from Dota2, im CS:GO player but just look on statistics, in Dota2/LOL/SC2 LANS there is no less then 50k viewers on stream. In CS:GO we dont have 20k even in the final so what is better for the organizers? Its pretty simple, but I hope that I'm wrong and DreamHack etc. will still places CS;GO events.

The game will not die, but I agree with you in, that the big events wont find the big sponsors to support CS:GO. I am a CS:GO-player, and I find it more attractive to watch a LoL-game than a CS:GO-game, because a game like LoL is also fun to watch. I hope a company as SteelSeries will keep sponsoring CS:GO as much as they do, and hopefully the events still have CS:GO in their events. Or we need another CS-game, what is more viewer-friendly than CS:GO is. - The example with WCG is shit, because WCG more and more is a Chinese exibition, and dont give a shit about the gamers, but what they can make money on.

Surely.. I remember back in 2008 or 2009 I think were Hyper and peet destroyed the UK on dust2 in CB Nationscup :) They were by far the best polish team but sadly CSS was never that common in poland like 1.6.
