RC EMS One quarter-final matchups

The draw for the quarter-finals of the RaidCall EMS One Summer finals has been made, with the eight participants having learned their fate.

The LAN finals of the second RaidCall EMS One season of the year will take place inside the ESL TV's studio, in the heart of Cologne, from June 29th to 30th. The top eight sides from the group stage will gather in the German city to battle it out for the top prize of $12,000.

Fresh off winning DreamHack Summer, Ninjas in Pyjamas, will begin the defense of their RC EMS One crown against Western Wolves, to whom the Swedish giants suffered a 16-2 defeat in Jönköping.

shoxie's VG paired with CPH Wolves

The most interesting match of this quarter-final stage looks to be the one between Copenhagen Wolves, who had a close three-map game against NiP, and VeryGames, who will finally be attending their first LAN event with Richard "shoxie" Papillon.

LDLC.com, who placed 3rd-4th, will tackle fnatic, who will be desperate to impress after crashing out of DreamHack in the group stage, while Virtus.pro will tackle ESC Gaming.

RC EMS One quarter-finals:

Denmark CPH Wolves vs. France VeryGames
France LDLC.com vs. Denmark fnatic
Sweden Ninjas in Pyjamas vs. Denmark Western Wolves
Poland ESC Gaming vs. Russia Virtus.pro

Meanwhile, the ESL has indicated that until Friday at 18:00 there is a 50 per cent discount on tickets to the EMS One Finals, in Cologne. You can purchase your ticket here.

Talking about equal... ye right... How does it come then if those low shiteams will advance instead of better team who will be knocked out... Seems equal...

"instead of better team who will be knocked out" That doesn't make any sense... This one close game would be better than two boring games instead, since both ESC and fnatic would just get knocked out. Think before you comment.

Eh Think? So its better to have boring semifinals then quarterfinals? Is it fair that teams that are "bad" have a better chance to advance then the teams that are the best?

The matches look absolutely brilliant. CPH > LDLC > NiP > VP > Should be your Semi-Final match up. I think WW will take a map off NiP, but I think NiP will just have another level to get to.

Oh yeah, they managed to do that effectively on nuke. However that was nuke, so I'd be interested to know if they could replicate that on other maps.

I dunno really, because VG have had exams recently which has messed up their practice schedule. They are also in the middle of switching their entire gameplay style. I'd say it'd be close, but I could easily see VG going home on the first day.

Agreed ReDeYe > Joe Miller > Anders. They are my favorite full time casters, though I like having lurppis or cArn for their pro knowledge. Pansy has been improving her game knowledge a lot as well, I like her casting.
