playArt announce disbandment

playArt have announced that their CS:GO division have disbanded, with the players going their separate ways.

The news comes as a huge surprise as only a few days ago the first big CS:GO LAN event in Brazil was announced, with a prize purse in excess of €900.

On Sunday, Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo, one of Brazil's most accomplished CS players, wrote a blog in which he criticised Valve for not doing enough to promote competitive GO.

FalleN & fnx now free agents

It has now been revealed that one of the players has lost the drive to carry on, a decision that put the final nail in the coffin for the team.

"Not everything goes the way you want. Unfortunately today the end of our CS:GO team has come," Lincoln "fnx" Lau and Fernando "fer" Alvarenga wrote on Facebook.

"Yesterday we got together to have a team chat, and one of the players said he no longer wanted to play.

"I think we no longer have the atmosphere to continue. I do not know yet what I will do about the game. I would like to apologise to all playArt fans, especially all the guys out there who support me."

playArt had the following team:

Valve an american company and the developers of Counter-Strike:Global Offensive don't support the very game they created how the rest of the community that plays it is supposed to keep such game from getting stagnant? Laughable to see people blaming CS:GO. There would be no competitive scene for 1.6 or CSS anyway - both were dieing. Understandable move though, as there haven't been a future in SA CS for many years.
