coL return; raid Quantic Gaming

compLexity have recruited the former Counter-Strike: Global Offensive team of Quantic Gaming, led by the likes of Braxton "swag" Pierce and Jordan "n0thing" Gilbert.

The last time we saw compLexity involved in Counter-Strike dates back to 2011, when the American organisation supported the former FireGamers team, who featured players like Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo and Renato "nak" Nakano.

After a series of mixed results, coL parted ways with the team and decided to invest their money in other games, such as Starcraft II, League of Legends and FIFA.

But after more than two years, coL have opted to give Counter-Strike a new chance and signed Quantic Gaming's team, who finished second in ESEA Invite, with a 12-4 record.

Below you can find a statement from compLexity's founder and owner, Jason "1" Lake, initially posted on the team's website:

The team's first event under the new organisation will be the ESEA Finals, which will take place from August 16th to 18th at the Double Tree by Hilton in Dallas, TX.

Dude its in one of his interviews where he talks openly about it. He sold his half of his business and funded the whole CS division himself over how many years. He talks about waiting for that major sponsor like intel coming along but it never happened. And to give you an idea of what he was paying the players, Bullseye was on $40-45K a year. Now how many players have they had and how many years where they playing CS for. He lost and he lost big. So now hes in LoL and other games? What salary are those players getting? Whats the tournament winnings split? Who is paying for everything?

How much money did he make off his LoL players? His 1.6 team was very successful but he lost hundreds of thousands of dollars supporting them through wages alone. And any money that they did win was split between the players (that is if they got paid out at all). So many misconceptions about how $$$ works. Essentially in order for coL.1 to have made money in gaming he has to have made more than he invested.
