DreamHack has been saying goodbye to great teams all day long as they went out of the tournament one by one. The time has come for the very last two teams to fight out who's going to be DreamHack Winter 07 champions.
Swedish LAN party and lots of Swedish teams attending. Only one Swedish team made it to the final though. SK-Gaming got knocked down to lower bracket by McPoker.emL, and had to fight their way through the lower bracket in order to reach the final. Their last stop was in the lower bracket was NoA. The two teams meet on de_nuke, the map NoA beat PGSPokerStrategy on in the ESWC final.
SK-Gaming pulled off an amazing CT side, taking 14 rounds versus NoAs 1 round. NoA had pull up amazing play in order to win this match. They did win the pistol, and took the next 2 rounds, then SK got 1 round an secured a tie, and final took the last round missing at won the fight.
SK-Gaming then had to face McPoker.emL in the consolidation final for the last spot in grand final. SK-Gaming did not any point look weak on the map, and could pull out as winners with 16:8.
In the final SK-Gaming will be facing mibr. The team is rather new, as they brought in cky and bit just after WCG 2007. gAules stepped back as active player to being coach. The team has been showing absolute fantastic play at DreamHack and will have the advantage coming from the Upper Bracket in the final.
