Vote for de_train version in ESEA

Over at ESEA users can vote to determine which version of de_train next season will use between Valve's de_train, last season's de_train_se and Salvatore "Volcano" Garozzo's de_train_ve.

As of writing this, Garozzo's de_train_ve has garnered almost 80% of all the votes, with Valve's updated de_train_se a far away second before the previously used de_train_se.

Garozzo's de_train_ve's first version already received plenty of positive feedback, and the updated version of the map has been received even better, while Valve's de_train has gone largely unused.

Volcano's de_train_ve looks to break through to ESEA Season 15

Only registered Premium users of ESEA are eligible to vote as a safety measure against creating new accounts to spam the vote, which is currently open and can be accessed here.

it's either that OR a complete joke like the e-stars votes back in the days. i'd much rather have a vote without 10,000 fake votes than one with them.

no idea what valve plans on doing, but if esea takes on train_ve, i would hope some others follow suit :)

de_nuke_ve was included into matchmaking as de_nuke, so no i dont have my answer right here.

Actually they didn't. They just did a replica, just like with mirage. The mirage one was just much more exstreme because it looked to much as a 1.6 version. De_nuke_ve didn't.

Yup, fake accounts are a plague, but my concern is about : 1. having the voters going to ESEA in order to vote 2. having the voters PAYING for ESEA in order to vote This kind of votes should be done with steam accounts having a version of CS:GO registered. This way any player can vote. Sure there would still be some fake accounts, but not that many. I don't know if this kind of poll with steam accounts is possible right now, but if it's not it should be.

1. this vote is only for esea league. if you play in esea, you will have an account. if you don't, this doesn't truly concern you anyway. the players should decide. 2. the people who will play in esea season 15 likely have premium accounts currently. they are who we (esea) want deciding which version of the map is used.

omg, since valve's version is much better now, the _ve version is totally obsolete. instead of creating a global standardized mappool, which includes that all switch to the non _se maps, esea continues to make questionable decisions.

Much better? I think one could argue against that. Starting from the fact that the only resemblence Valve's version shares with the original is that there are trains on the map. Seriously, they have for the most part taken out of the map what made it play unique. Also, the non-_se versions require some heavy work aswell. If we rely on Valve for providing the competitive map pool, we might end up having to struggle endlessly for every change we want to see, and even worse, end up with maps like their mirage in competitive play.

agree. the new version by valve actually increases the chances of Terrorists and thus makes the map more balanced than train has been before. I think the mayority of esea voters have hardly played VALVE's Train and only vote for the _ve version due to it's resemblence to 1.6

Similar to blizzard an sc2 if the players want certain maps in match making they shouldnt be stubborn and just give them what they want. Regardless, a step in the right direction and to those flaming ESEA... I mean come on, they put it to a vote.
