AGENT win ESWC Norway qualifier

AGENT.no came out on top of the Norwegian ESWC qualifier with a 2-0 victory over Horses of Lars in the grand final.

Held under the aegis of ByLAN, one of the most prestigious LAN events in Scandinavia, the Norwegian ESWC qualifier featured four teams: the winners of the two online pre-qualifiers and the finalists of the BYOC tournament.

Teams like H2k Gaming and Lions were in attendance in the BYOC event but surprisingly fell short as glanslaget and AGENT.NO joined BX3 and Horses of Lars - the winners of the online qualifiers - in the main tournament.

In the semi-final stage, AGENT.NO moved past BX3 on two maps (16-13 on de_inferno_se and 16-12 on de_nuke_se), while on the other half of the bracket, Horses of Lars only had to win one map against glanslaget as Markus "maak" Karlsen's side lost the first map by default for arriving too late at the venue.

After so many twists and turns over the weekend, the grand final ended up going the way many had predicted, as AGENT.NO ran out 2-0 victors over Horses of Lars after 16-14 and 16-11 wins on de_inferno_se and de_mirage_ce, respectively.

I watched every game that I could on stream, and wow you had a few underdogs that no one have mentions that played really strong. Infurity and team foreign for example are one of them, they really proved that with a little more practice they actually can outplay this guys. As some have mention in the forums here, if it is true that foreign only played some weeks before this event, its amazing taking lions to overtime and almost beating infurity. Congratulations to AGENT, well played! will follow you in ESWC:)

They(H2k gaming) ended up at a disappointing 7-8th place. Centryz is a solid player, but he seemed to struggle to hit his shots at this LAN event which really affected their performance.

And what was the point of your comment? I meant no disrespect towards centryz, as I said, he is a solid player and I know he can perform well on LAN, but at this very event - he did not perform that well(overall).

well, kinda hard to make an impact on 2 maps(which were close). if you look at frags only then i had one 30 frag game and one 12-13? frag game. you should know better than me that frags arent everything ;)

Of course! But when you are THE guy to smash heads in your team, and don't connect your shots, it gets a lot harder I would say. But I could easily be wrong as you state, I only spectated you a couple of times and you seemed to have low score(compared to what we would expect from you) and ran around with auto sniper those times - and I heard from other people at the LAN that you did not hit well with rifle at the time, so I just assumed that is what went on throughout the tournament. Sorry for any incorrect statement from me though, I meant no offense what so ever!

The BYOC were a double elimination: First infurity.mix(mystic drolsum sirius +2) beat them 16-5 in the WB bracket, then h2k lost 16-13 to Lions in the LB.

they are, in fact, the best team in Norway. that does not per definiton make them the worst team. Internationally they are probably a bit worse than decent, especially if you compare them to Finland, Sweden and Denmark, but we won't do that.

I think it's nice that a team who really practise to acheive something got the spot. Even though h2k seems stronger, it's only their fault they didn't get a free trip to Paris. Agent were better prepared and it paid out. Centeks and baseraper played very well! Lykke til!

spectated the game and i must say spity and baseraper carried they're team. agentultra missed alot of freekills b1 on inferno. lucky for him centeks carried him on b1.
