NiP over compLexity with ease

Ninjas in Pyjamas have defeated compLexity 2-0 in the quarter-final of ESWC 2013 (16-6 on de_nuke, 16-2 on de_dust2).

The match that promised to be the most interesting of the four quarter-final pairs was supposed to be NiP vs. compLexity, the only North American side in the tournament.

Sean "sgares" Gares' squad started well on de_nuke, taking a 3-0 lead on the T-side. The following rounds didn't go their way as NiP quickly evened the score, but as it all kept coming down to the wire, coL still had the money advantage.

NiP had no problems with coL

Spencer "Hiko" Martin won a 1-on-1 against Christopher "GeT_RiGhT" Alesund for 4-5, but a forced buy from the Swedes cut the Americans off and started a big run which turned into a 10-5 NiP lead at the half.

Still with a chance to come back coL desperately needed the second pistol round, and they were on their way to take it after a 3-on-2 situation, but Richard "Xizt" Landström won a 1-on-2 situation and put NiP ahead 11-5.

coL's early third round buy did pay dividends, but the Swedes once again had the perfect reply and they went on to win five in a row to clinch the first map 16-6.

GeT_RiGhT tops the charts with 0.97 KPR so far

The second map proved to be even easier for NiP, as they stormed away with a 6-0 CT side lead on de_dust2 before finally allowing coL to take one not-so convincing round. They immediately reset their money and went on to take the first half 13-2.

A flawless pistol round followed and NiP cemented their 5th easy map win in the tournament, this time with a 16-2 scoreline which sent them into the top four.

They talked about that in some interviews, it's part of their plans to get as much bootcamping/experience while in EU as they can. Expect them to do better at MSI Beat It :)

in the groups they did not miss a shot, and the whole team worked as one...was really fun to watch. then today they where like a completely different team, fked up buys, missing shots and at some points they looked like they where free roaming.

What they did on nuke was great,tbh if they managed to take some crucial rounds like 1v1,2v1 , NiP was "money fucked" and other was the story. Of course that NiP will win anyway but not with that difference.

Because professionalism, humility and respect are alien concepts to US teams. Semphis and co spouting off like tourettes-afflicted howler monkies when they manage to barely beat a fourth-rate Swedish team. And I know that this is how US teams in general conduct themselves. In short, the conduct of a lot of NA teams is childish at best, and people (non-Americans) call them out on it. So whining about HLTV being "full of hate" makes no sense. HLTV did the same when fnatic disgraced themselves agaisnt NiP.

I don't understand this sites ignorance. To touch on coL's shit talking against LGB, LGB started it against Hiko when he was in a surf server, and then during the match, the IGL of LGB starts spamming a bind, talking shit to sgares, in the middle of a match at LAN? Please, tell me who is more mature in this situation. Oh, and to add, n0thing asked him to stop, and he kept doing it. Second, any time an American team goes overseas, no matter what happens, none of you are happy to see more competition in this game, you are happy to see the same old teams, minus Americans. It's baffling, honestly. Why are you not happy when more teams compete? Fucking ridiculous. Lastly, n0thing played terribly, and swag was fucking nuts. Not sure what happened, but it seemed like there weren't many smart plays from coL's players, and they couldn't hit their shots, save for maybe Swag and Hiko.
