Qualifier for Assembly Winter

A 32-team online qualifier for Assembly Winter's CS:GO tournament has just been announced.

Earlier in the month, we reported that Assembly Winter 2014, which will take place from January 31st to February 1st inside Helsinki's Exhibition & Convention Centre, would feature a CS:GO tournament with eight teams and a €5,000 prize purse.

An online qualifier, open to 32 teams, has now been scheduled for January 6th to 7th, with the top two sides automatically qualifying for the event, even though they will still have to pay the €250 entry fee.

The qualifier will use a single-elimination format, with all matches being played in a best-of-one system. The tournament schedule can be found below:

January 6th:

19:00 - Round of 32
20:00 - Round of 16

January 7th:

19:00 - Quarter-finals
20:00 - Semi-finals

Its still winter, so the temperatures have been around 0 celcius. It can also get colder so you should pack warm clothes.

ASSEMBLY is a lanparty event in general, and requires a 50e entrance fee per person to enter and get access for a BYOC spot etc, so 250e entrance fee being 50e per person is pretty much the same thing as entering the normal event.

Prize purse is actually pretty good. Should be only Finnish teams there i guess.
