World Cyber Games kicks off 2008 with Samsung European Championship at German computer and IT expo CeBIT.
Fourth edition of SEC will once again be hosted in Hannover, Germany. The event will take place in March, more specific, 6th to 9th. Stretching over four days, the visitors can follow 250 players from 30 nations competing for a total prize pool of 100.000 $.
SEC has chosen following games for the 2008 edition:
Previous SEC had SK Gaming pulling out victorious, after winning the grand final versus PGSPokerStrategy (now MYM). The official teams and prize distribution remains to be announced, but as the previous three years, there’s a great amount of interesting teams attending this event.

Command & Conquer 3Once again WCG show their love to Counter-Strike 1.6. SEC is an invite tournament, meaning the teams will be invited. Mainly the participants from the previous WCG grand finals will be invited to this championship. Same rules apply for SEC as WCG, one team should consist of five players with the same nationality.
