DreamHack Goes Arctic
DreamHack, the world's largest computer festival, gets an Arctic Edition during Easter, March 27-30.
Together with Luleå University of Technology, Skellefteå, DreamHack creates a LAN party and Digital Festival for all computer enthusiasts in the North of Sweden. At DreamHack Skellefteå you connect your computers in a local network, play games, code and compete with and against each other.
DreamHack Skellefteå will fill all of Expolaris Congress Centre, where TeliaSonera will hook-up extra fast internet, Zyxel supplies the switches and Skellefteå Kraft insures the electricity supply.
Northern Open Championship
Together with local partners, DreamHack announces the Northern Open Championship in e-sports, with a local and global touch. Different top-teams from all over the world are expected to go to Skellefteå in order to compete in computer games. Among others, the reigning DreamHack Champions in CounterStrike (WGT), Made in Brasil (mibr) are attending. First prize is genuine gold, from the Gold of Lapland!
DreamArena
The success from DreamHack Winter, DreamArena, with a spectator stand, lights and sound multimedia show and a scene packed with e-sports, lectures, movies, music is coming to DreamHack Skellefteå. DreamArena will broadcast LIVE during the whole event via internet and this Winter more than 100.000 unique viewers followed the show. Furthermore, TV will be on site to document the festival and DreamArena.
Qualifiers to the Electronic Sports World Cup
DreamHack Skellefteå is the scene of the first Swedish qualifier for ESWC, and will lead to the Swedish Finals. The winning team of the Swedish Finals will represent Sweden at the Global Finals of ESWC in the US this summer.
Movie Festival
We will show the best from YouTube, movies from DreamHack, e-sport matches and short films and animations done by the students of Luleå University of Technology, Skellefteå.
DreamCampus
Together with Luleå University of Technology, Skellefteå, DreamHack will hold a number of Knowledge Competitions to test the know-how and intelligence of the participants.
Monster Parade
Students from Luleå University of Technology, Skellefteå, will show their different works, characters and props made for the world of TV and movies. Count on seeing monsters, different masks, sculptures, weapons and objects from the world of fantasy.
Tickets released February 25th. The tickets usually run out quickly for DreamHack, and they are counting on being sold out. Tickets will only be available online via DreamHack’s website.
