Video: Hiko vs. Netcode

Watch Spencer "Hiko" Martin fend off elimination from Netcode single-handedly, with this gigantic clutch to keep his team in the game.

Despite Martin's heroic efforts compLexity would eventually fall to Netcode, leaving them in fifth place with a 6-7 record and currently on the outside looking in for an ESEA LAN playoff spot.

However, with his team down 15-9 and against all odds Martin decided that he wasn't going to go quietly, coming up with this massive play and willing compLexity to another round win in a desperate attempt to force overtime.

The commentary in the video is by Dustin "DustMouret" Mouret.

I haven't said that I am good at this game, personally I think I'm decent and I have still much to improve. On the other hand, I proved myself at DH Valencia, Dreamhack Summer & CPH Games. It's not like I am saying im a good player and better then anyone else, I was just stating my opinion and I think I'm a decent player. Shroud is a great guy and from what I've seen from him he definately got the potential to become one of the best players in the NA scene and even the world if he breaks out internationally :D

by dissing shroud for the sake of steel by no means i claim that he is inferior to any other guys especially in eu or na. its just that steel is better than him at the moment. he proved himself enough in the na scene, so in my book he is already much better than a lot of so called good players from sweden which are actually second rate in skill such as yourself. and im pretty sure that any other european teams apart from the top 7-8 would get decimated in the na esea invite league. edit: you just have to diet a bit, see the state jw and dosia in? think about that for a while.

Alright but from what I've heard from other NA players is that he haven't proved himself, I personally haven't seen him attend any good international event and hopefully we will since I think he is a great guy with awesome aim. I haven't said that I am any better then shroud or that any other EU players are better then him cuz I don't know so much about the NA scene. This is why I hope that he gets the chance to attend internationally and prove himself worthy :D EDIT: And also you are talking about my diet, why would I care what other people think? I eat good and drink water, my weight is just fine (78kgs for 20y old and 1.80ish) but I haven't been active in a while now and I used to play fotball + floorball.

well to be perfectly honest there are lots of good players in the na scene, its just that they re spread too much and most of them are really close in pure strength. but the fact is the ones that i follow and keeping up to date are all really cocky players. some backed by skill some not but 90% of them are full of too much pride in being a pro player. so i cant trust their opinion of one another. getting back to shroud i think he has one of the best aims in the scene, and he doesnt idle in a spot to get good shots, he moves a lot. and being proven on international scene is just to prove yourself on a european tournament and its just hard for the na teams cuz there are many + the pressure. so its understandable that they get terrorized with pressure just as titan did in esea finals. ps: dude you seemed really fat but if not then get going please and get a team because apart from nip the swedish scene is fucked up, you can easily play in fnatic or lgb cuz the only thing they got is good aim and movement and no brains. backed by todays games against na'vi and clanmystik. sweden needs some good igl's.

im sure when he wants to he will. There's no title between who i think is a better player out of steel or shroud but thanks for the reply! Shroud is better than him though, remember I said that when he 'hadnt proved himself' yet!

steel was in Europe for ages and in lots of teams. I stood behind him at lans and watched him just be an angry idiot. Everyone hates on rattlesnk, Josh is on the same level if not far worse. Steel achieved precisely ZERO during his time in Europe. Shroud hasnt had that opportunity yet so I dont get why im dumb. He has insane aim, he's not stupid and he keeps a cool head during games from what I've seen.

Very strong play - great clean up. Also a good example for comparison between great players using map knowledge and instinctive pre-firing aim, versus scrub hackers pretending they're pro to score mousemats on ESEA...

Well done by Hiko, but it's still a misplay from Netcode, they shouldn't have and didn't need to let Hiko take all of them in 1v1 duels.

True. 1-2 should have peaked when he was shooting at the second one. He is a sprayer, so they even have more time to take him.:D
