Kenny "kennyS" Schrub scored this important AWP ace against NiP during Titan's battle for a place in the final at SLTV StarSeries IX Finals.

After winning map one, Titan found themselves on the back foot for the entirety of de_nuke until Kenny "kennyS" Schrub stepped up. The score was 12-8 in favor of the Swedes and the map looked lost before the new-old recruit pulled of one of his trademark AWP rounds to help Titan get back in the game.

Winning this round eventually led to Titan tying the game at 12-12, before Ninjas in Pyjamas regained control and won the final four rounds to bring the series to its third map.

I might be older player than you are. "its not like you can be effective with it on close range" then clearly you haven't played with it. AWP suits for everything. Yeah it might have slow fire rate, but not slow enough cause you can spam bullets like mad. The AWP shouldn't be a gun that you run with your people it should be to guard your team from behind them. Not run in front of your guys and shooting like maniac. And yes when AWP is unscoped it's clearly logical that you can't aim for shit (unlike scout) cause it's heavy weapon and you don't really know where you are aiming when not looking through the scope. But still you can lead your bullet not 100% accurately, but accurate enough to maybe get you a kill... But really the awp recoil should be added and when you stop you shouldn't be possible to shoot precisely there where you are aiming atm, you should wait 1-2s before shooting, but in cs go you only need to run, stop and shoot to guarantee a kill.

You can be sure I played it enough. On relatively close range, if you are aiming on the enemy with your shotgun, you can be 100% sure he will die. Unlike AWP. When enemies are rushing, after the 1st shot, you will have enough time to reload your next shot at a corner. Unlike with AWP. You will be dead after the first kill, if your enemy is not a newbie. Of course it can be used for guarding AS WELL AS making entry kills like kennyS did. It was a key element of high level gaming in 1.6, in Source and now in GO as well. You forgot the thing that this is absolutely NOT common in pro scene, you have to be extremely skilled to do those things kennyS did. Did I mention that it costs $4750 while a shotgun can be bought for $1200? One shot to body is always kill, no matter if your enemy wears body armors or not + aiming to the body while scoped is really easy. You have way more time than just reload and go to the corner. you don't even have to go behind cover, because you can already shoot, the time to reload that one bullet is as fast as changing to your knife and back to awp, so no loss there + if you miss your first one and there are 1 or 2 left you aint doing it right. Not to mention its easy to counter it with some smokes and forcing the awp player to use it at close range. WHat do you think why are players dropping their AWP for an AK or M4 when they are in clutch situations for instance? If AWP were that OP, they wouldnt. I agree CS:GO sucks, but in it's awps defense, I have never seen anyone be as dominant as kennyS rushing around like that. Also, after the first shot you miss against anyone with a mouse, you're dead. It takes at LEAST half a second to switch your knife and back and in that time they just spray you down with even a pistol.

I don't see what that video is the point of. Putting a ton of effects makes it impossible to see how impressive if the shots really are. That and what kenny can do with the speed and accuracy of his flicks is the real impressive part. It is not necessarily about stringing a couple nice strafe shots together for a clip, but being able to do it as consistently as kenny is what the skill is imho.
