New CS:GO update fixes bugs

Valve has released a minor update for CS:GO which fixes a number of bugs in the game.

After last week's update, which introduced the Huntsman case and new HUD customization options, Valve spent the last few days fixing some small bugs, most of which are HUD-related issues that were created by May 1st's patch.

Below you can find the complete change log:

Release Notes for 5/7/2014

[MATCHMAKING]

Fixed buytime ending as soon as all players join in QMM.
Increased warmuptime when all players are connected from 30 sec to 60 sec

[UI]

Fixed the default radar scale and money position settings overlapping with the spectator UI in the most common resolutions.
Dropdown panels now support more than 20 options.
Fixed inventory grenades icons drawing black.
Fixed the bottom position player counter being a bit too low and cut off.
Fixed hud alert flickering.
Fixed Deathmatch Bonus Panel overlapping excessively with radar in extreme cases.
Optimized some hud options code which improves performance.
Money position relative to radar now considers safezone.
Fixed HUD background alpha not saving if you set cl_hud_background_alpha to 0.

[SDK]

Added concommand 'rangefinder' for map makers (provides 2d and 3d distance to target).
In Demolition games, the last weapon can be any weapon and trigger the end of round logic if enabled.

[MISC]

Added Effective range and rangefinder functionality to cl_weapon_debug_print_accuracy convar.
Fixed bad hostage icon positioning in some cases.
In DeathMatch it now says the right name for all guns.
In Demolition games, the next weapon panels now work for all guns.
Optimized backend performance when when accessing CS:GO inventory on Steam Community.

That just means that it's someone in the management who's dividing the work improperly? Like most game developers, Valve (probably) has executives for every unit of workforce for their game development. It's their responsibility to make sure their department is doing good work, on all parts.

I dont know what title the guy(s) who made that particular update of the inventory performance has, but i doubt that he is the same that works on gameplay changes (which seems to be the most common complain; not enough gmaplay changes). That was all i meant. The gameplay guys could be hard at work, we just dont know since valve wont communicate with the community.

Why not? When I was watching Katowice, Scoots mentonied on stream 128 tick mm servers and some new features related to valve. Probably coming 2k18 but still, there's a hope.

They also changed all Field-Tested weapons to now have the actual FT icon 100% of the time, even if its actually minimal wear condition. Meaning you can't go on the market now and pick out the good looking FT skins just by looking at the icon, you will have to actually inspect it now if you are looking for a MW condition skin that is classified as FT. So basically now my AK along with my Crimson Web M9 looks far less awesome when viewing my inventory (aside from when you are looking at your inventory from in-game).

I just noticed this. Before this update my M9 Night had the MW icon and looks. Now the icon changed and it's a tiny bit more worn. Not as bad as FT but not 100% MW. SHIT IS STRANGE, YO.

Since this update is a pure bug fixing update, I can say that it is really good. Still no progress regarding gameplay on the other hand. They need to do something ASAP.

I think Valve should get their asses kicked for their stupid updates. - still braindead duckmoving dickheads are hitting everybody with any weapon including AWP/SCAR/G3SG1 - it's still impossible to choose any weapon in the buy meny with a mouse cursor after leaving a MM server and then reconnecting to it - it's still impossible to choose your opponents' max ping, thus you should often play vs some unhittable faggots with >150 ms ping, and yeah, they're hitting you pretty easy because of the stupid netcode with all its lagcompensations and interpolations - it's still possible to throw away a bomb to some inaccessible places, e.g. on some big boxes. If your teammate is stupid enough to throw away a bomb so that nobody can pick it up without anybody else's help, so why I have to suffer from this shit? It's not all about MM, it's all about the pub servers. What's the reason of this idiot-friendly possibility to throw away a bomb to some inaccessible place? It's useless for any player who has a brain, so Valve should remove a possibility to throw away a bomb to any inaccessible (for ONE player) place

No, it def changed all together. The FT with MW icons are just there because people haven't took down the original posting. My FT/MW bug listings were the same way, until I took them down and then it made them regular FT icons.

Eventually when they run out of other ways to rape people for cash, they'll change it from 64 to 128. But the problem is they'll be REALLY FUCKING SHIT 128 tic servers, and likely play EVEN WORSE than the MASSIVELY SHIT 64 tic ones that we have now. At that point they'll sit back, lube themselves up and start stuffing the next fuck load of cash the fanboys will throw at them, just because...dun, dun, dun...they have listened to the community and given them the 128 tic they wanted...
