NGL One finals have started in Berlin. First round of the upper bracket has already been played and it’s time for the players to take a break, before the next round in upper and lower bracket is set to go.
WebTower is hosting the NGL One finals, to be more specific the Freaks4you office. Teams finishing top four in this last season of NGL One, will this weekend fight for the trophy and the money here in Berlin.
First round in the upperbracket has been played. Favorites to bring home the title, Swedish fnatic did however not start out so great. The Finnish team put up with great plays as T on inferno and could bring home first half 12:3. fnatic did however regain the momentum as dsn brought fnatic back into the game. At the score 15:14 in favor of fnatic, roccat had to buy what they could. With a mixture of rifles and pistols, some with and without armor, roccat went for the tie. A failed retake by roccat, resolved in fnatic bringing home the first map 16:14.
Off to train being the second map. Once again roccat started the map with full speed throttle. fnatic never got a leg to the ground on this CT dominated map. The five Swedes only managed to gather 6 CT rounds, as roccat brought home first half 9:6. With only CT rounds, it should be a tough challenge for fnatic to bring this one home. roccat took the first three rounds and fnatic had to pull a rabbit out of the hat, in order to stand a chance. No bunny jumped out of ins’ red magical hat and fnatic lost 16:8 to a very well playing roccat on train.
Decider map to find out who should get to stay in upperbracket and who should face the dark and no so interesting lowerbracket. Nuke was the scene set for this battle. fnatic has before shown that they manage very well on nuke, but lately especially in the Virtus.pro match a while ago, things did not turn out as great as hoped. This team fnatic started off, destroying roccat totally; taking home first half rock solid 12:3 as T. Nuke has become T dominated some say, fnatic truly proved that the they manage the T side well. roccat’s turn to carry the bomb. fnatic however showed that they also play extremely well on CT side and roccat failed over and over again to enter those bomb spots. fnatic locked the match down at the score 4:2 and a total of 16:5. Next enemy on their way to the 20.000$ will be Alternate.
Starting on inferno, a bit late due to video broadcasting. Alternate started off with showing amazing play (my predicts clearly did not see this coming), taking home first side on train 15:0. This meant they only needed a single round to close down train and move on. mousesports did start with winning the first 7 rounds, until Alternate got the round they needed and train was history, with Alternate winning 16:5.
mousesports should have another go at beating Alternate on inferno. mousesports did bring out great player, but Alternate still have very good counter attacks to prevent mousesports from taking those really important rounds. mousesports only managed to gather 4 rounds while Alternate took home 11, the match look as being done, but mousesports wanted it different. They took the match to the very last round, but failed to take last and deciding round. Alternate won 16:14 and will be facing fnatic in upperbracket at 20:00CET.
