krimz steps down from TEAMGLOBAL

Freddy "krimz" Johansson has announced that he has stepped down from his place in TEAMGLOBAL

The Swedish team have been going through a rough patch since parting company with LGB eSports back in May, despite rumours suggesting they could be picked up by Alliance, something that has so far failed to materialise.

Earlier in the month, TEAMGLOBAL had already been given a hard blow when Dennis "dennis" Edman decided to become inactive after accepting a full-time job.

krimz exits TEAMGLOBAL

Now, with less than 48 hours to go before the start of DreamHack Summer, the Swedish team have witnessed the departure of another player as Freddy "krimz" Johansson has lost his drive as a result of the uncertainty surrounding the squad.

"When we left LGB, we had high ambitions, but when things did not work out and Dennis quit, it suddenly felt as though we were not a team anymore," Johansson told fragbite.se.

"Because we lacked the financial support I simply lost my motivation."

TeamGLOBAL have been drawn in Group D of DreamHack Summer, together with Na´Vi, AliGon and one of the two teams who will come from the BYOC qualifier.

The Swedish team currently have:

Sweden Olof "olofm" Kajbjer
Sweden Isak "cype" Rydman
Sweden Simon "twist" Eliasson
Sweden Christian "Spitfire" Schiölde (stand-in)

Yeah thats a good theory. But the one i answered anticipated that TG got kicked by their sponsors, but it was actually TG's choice to stand alone for a while, since they had money to manage for a while.

Remember when people were certain they'd join Alliance? Game dead, team dead. Seriously though, when there is no proper organization willing to pick up a team with their résumé, how can the game possibly be on the right tracks?

Exactly. They had shown they could hang with the best consistently, but were not big enough to demand (high) salaries or anything. Give them proper payout/practice conditions and motivation, and you could comparatively cheaply have a top contender on your side. The perfect pickup for someone wanting to enter the scene.

exactly? you claimed they had a resume, and they don't. they never won anything worthwhile or memorable, and although they are skilled, they never once set themselves apart from mid-tier teams like Clan-Mystik, Na'Vi, HellRaisers, or even compLexity. not every team can land a sponsor, especially one that never won a major tournament, and their chances at getting one were probably hurt when dennis left. unfortunately for them, they didn't have a competitive squad when fnatic was looking for a team. nothing in any of your posts actually supports the notion that the game is dead.

You know, a résumé doesn't necessarily mean "having placed 1st". 3-4th EMS One Katowice 2014 7-8th Fragbite Masters 2014 2nd Svecup Finals 2013 5-6th fnatic FragOut League 3 5-8th DreamHack Winter 2013 2nd FACEIT March Cup 1st FACEIT December Cup 3-4th Fragbite Masters 2013 And in terms of setting themselves apart from other mid-tier teams, you know, those other mid-tier teams actually do have proper organizations backing them. Also, you can't tell "game is dead" was an exaggeration? It remains true that LGB not getting an appropriate backing is a bad sign for the game. And dennis leaving is a bad argument, seeing as how he left because they didn't get proper backing.

+1 Sponsors aren't looking for #1 placements necessarily, they only want publicity. Reaching the quarter/semi finals is enough to get a good organisation.

LGB are a decent team, but you spoke about a resume and i don't think they have one. 3-4th on EMS one 7-8th on fragbite? is that really worth mentioning? 2nd swecup? is that worth mentioning? 5-6 fnatic fragout is that worth mentioning? 5-8 dreamhack winter is that worth mentioning? 2nd faceit was with a mix 1st faceit is ok 3-4 fragbite might be ok. The team has potential there is no arguing about that, but the only point im here to present they are a really decent team but they have no resume, they were about to build one and it could have been a strong one but sorry what you posted can hardly qualify as a resume.

Yeah, placing 3-4th in a tournament with a higher pricepot than there ever was before in CS is hardly a resume. Get real.

I know that you have never been presented to a sponsor or anything like that, but let me simplify this for you. If you go to a job opportunity and you are sat down in front of the head of the HR when he asks you whats your resume you don't answer i have money.

Well yeah but maybe being able to answer "I belong to TOP 10 people in the world who can do this job" could help a little don't you think ? :D And there is no doubt they were a TOP10 team, maybe even TOP5. If such a team can't find a decent organisation, then I really don't know who can.

Can't really understand what was the reasoning behind leaving LGB, when there wasn't any other organisation waiting to pick them up. Guess things didn't go as planned. Overall, one dissapointing blow again to TG. With the original line-up they'd place easily top 5 in DH.

My favorite team to watch... Most entertaining with their entry fragging, and top-notch aiming. So sad to see the team go away. Man only if Dennis left earlier, I'm sure they would've signed with SK, and then without dennis pick up pyth. Replace cype with someone else, and you got yourself a formidable team to compete. So sad.

I thought of "twist+cype" and "SKYTTEN+RoQue" duos and decided that the first one is much stronger. The thing is that, as I heard, twist wouldn't play without cype. As for MODDII - he retired long time ago, and yeah, he sucked in GO, so...

One of my fav teams going under. I was actually expecting something like this to happen after the departure of Denis. This fucking blows. And this whole tournament just went to absolute shit as far as competiveness goes no Mouz no Dignitas no LDLC no LGB .. who gives a fuck?

Just another reason why we need more events with big prizes. I wanna see him saying he is not motivated and leaving his team if this event had 250-500k or even higher prize pool. This dh seems like it's going to be more and more boring every day.. Edit: hahahahah and now they are out of dhs XD

Very much agreed. I remember two months ago I believe, where he carried LGB on season against Na'Vi. If anything their old roster coulda competed for the top spot, but it's so sad to see all this news. Like my stomach dropped when I read that the team is slowly dissipating. As for you getting kicked out of AliGon was even more disappointing.

True leaders lead by example and by all accounts he held up his end. Sry to troll you in the other thread, what I said was true of mOE his negativity is nothing but a bain. For your sake keep your head up and stay positive at all costs it's the only way to succeed.

1/10 I would bet my entire inventory for nothing this won't happen not for olof not for anyone, even if heaton said "ok im playing for fiff" forest would say "ok you can play for both of us." keep trolling 9-44 never forget (they didn't switch then, and shouldn't have, and they never will, get over it)

So now when SK drops its current which hasn't a chance for high lan placings there won't be anyone for them to puickup. To me SK is the core of the issue here and everyone winds up losing. N1

It's a pretty reasonable assumption that SK picking delpan over them (granted there is a good history with delpan) was the beginning of the end.
