SpawN steps back, GeT_RiGhT steps in

One of the biggest legends in eSports resigns from the top, to free a spot for a young star.

SpawN, properly one of the biggest within eSport has chosen to step back from professional gaming and will take a new role, within SK Gaming. SpawN has had quite some career. Playing for SK Gaming several times, with a period in NiP too, SpawN has been playing with the best, while being the best. He has won WCG with the amazing SK 2003, several CPL titles and a bunch of awards.

Taking over where SpawN let go, will be SK Gaming’s sixth man Christoper "GeT_RiGhT" Alesund. Also with a history in NiP, GeT_RiGhT has the material needed, when filling the free spot SpawN left. GeT_RiGhT is a wonder, the aimkid some even name him. He’s amazing and really young, giving him lots of potential.

Andreas "bds" Thorstensson states following about GeT_RiGhT:

"Christopher has been on everyone's watch list for some time now, just like Abdi in the beginning. He has the same will, dedication, enthusiasm and last, but not least, the skill to become one of the best players in the world. I am certain he will mature and shine in SK together with the highly skilled and experienced players in the team. I am very happy to welcome him to the team!"

It’s said that SpawN will act as "ambassador" of eSport. What that exactly means, remains unknown. SK Gaming will be attending Extreme Masters II Finals 6-9^thof March at CeBIT with their fifth man, how will this change the chances for SK Gaming taking home the gold?

With the changes, SK Gaming now consist of following five:

It was obvious he'd eventually quit, but even if it's not unexpected, it's still somewhat painful. He is a true legend of CS. We'll always remember how you played, Abdi !!! And good luck to Get_RiGhT, of course. (damn, I felt the same when Zidane finished... not talking about his last game, but in whole)

#59, Get_right isn't the best atm, but he's only 17 and has a history in NiP, Begrip.swe and MYM.. So now when SK is letting him play he will evolve and yes, he will be one of the world's best CS players soon, you'll see.

The match I watched where Get_Right played as stand-in was not that err "outstanding" to be honest. Nevertheless I am aware that it takes time and practise to get into the "team chemistry". And not only through training but playing official matches too. Good luck to both, and Abdi you will be missed dude ;)

In terms of the places you visited thanks to gaming, which is your fondest memory? SpawN: Tough question. I've been to a lot of cool places, from Las Vegas to China. But if I really have to pick one it would be Portugal. We were there with SK during the European football championships. It was a really nice place with a lot of cool people and we just enjoyed the heat. Well thanks from all Portuguese people... (damn where was I when he came here... :x)
