Edward's situation updated *

Na`Vi's CEO Alexander "ZeroGravity" Kokhanovsky has confirmed Ioann "Edward" Sukhariev will not arrive in Dallas until Saturday, at best.

Our earlier report from a source on-site in Dallas stating that Sukhariev had received his passport and was already en route to Dallas has been confirmed wrong by Kokhanovsky.

According to Natus Vincere's CEO, Sukhariev may either receive his passport from the US embassy today or Monday. If he receives it today, he will travel to Dallas tomorrow.

Edward won't arrive in Dallas today

Based on a quick look at possible travel plans from Ukraine to Dallas, it seems unlikely Sukhariev could make it in time for Na`Vi's potential NiP match without ESEA adjusting their schedule.

Sukhariev's Na`Vi will face Open Equal Free today in Dallas with former member Arseny "ceh9" Trynozhenko stepping in for him at 04:00 . Stay tuned to HLTV.org for more updates on the situation.

ridiculously overrated, anyone with half as much experience traveling overseas as edward has should be able to settle in without any real issues. plus, traveling west is much easier on you than traveling east.

esports players don't have jetlag. I mean, we jetlag ourselves all the time, we rule this shit.

Physiologically speaking jetlag isn't "overrated", how this may transfer into a game of cs is a different matter though

i fail to understand why people can't simply stay up until the evening upon arrival and be fine the next day. or, in this case, sleep a little on the flights, and then go to bed normally. as long as i've gotten enough sleep, i've never felt affected.

Fair enough, obviously your body is well equipped to adjust to the effects of "jetlag". But physiologically, it really does have an effect. It is true though about flying west to east vs east to west.

So you go from "as long as i've gotten enough sleep, i've never felt affected" to "[jetleg is] ridiculously overrated, anyone with half as much experience traveling overseas as edward has should be able to settle in without any real issues". Aristotle would be disappointed.

exactly, if you have nearly as much experience traveling overseas as edward does, you know you need to get a few hours of sleep during travel and you'll be fine.

So did they fly ceh9 to stand-in for nothing, or was he already flying with the organization to Dallas anyway? Will he be casting?

he was going to be there no matter what, he couldn't have gotten a visa in time if he hadn't applied for one to begin with.

Nah, he already had a visa from earlier visits (5 years).. he explains it in his latest video interview (in Russian though).. he's there for casting and media content.. starix also mentioned he's not going to be their manager in his own video interview (also in Russian) which is weird lol :)
