Virtus.pro overcome Na`Vi

Virtus.pro have defeated Natus Vincere 2-1 (16-10 de_season, 14-16 de_mirage, 16-9 de_train) to advance to the consolidation final at ESEA Invite Finals.

The Poles won the opening pistol round on de_season by attacking B, despite Ladislav "GuardiaN" Kovács and Sergey "starix" Ischuk scoring two kills each and Filip "Neo" Kubski missing an easy kill.

Denis "seized" Kostin scored three kills on the fourth round, but two pairs from Kubski and Janusz "Snax" Pogorzelski put Virtus up 5-0. They ran up a 7-0 lead, overturning a three-on-five deficit in round six.

Na`Vi finally replied on round eight by starting to overstack bombsites. First two round wins saw Kovács score four kills total, with an aggressive push by Kostin and two by Danilo "Zeus" Teslenko sealing round three.

After a save by Virtus, Teslenko scored a triple to make it 5-7. Virtus' Jarosław "pasha" Jarząbkowski scored two AK47 kills to win Virtus one more round, but from there it was all Na`Vi.

Virtus.pro had to surrender seven of the eight last rounds in the first half, but Wiktor "TaZ" Wojtas and Pogorzelski gave them some momentum by getting all five kills on the second half pistol.

Zeus was Na`Vi's top performer on Saturday

Na`Vi attempted a force buy, but Kovács lost a one-on-one versus Kubski. However, Teslenko kept their hopes alive, winning a save round that saw him score four kills, including a one-on-two with a M4A4 at the end.

The Polish side saved once and lost the next round, but on a second save saw Wojtas score four kills to win it. Then a risky stack saw Jarząbkowski and Pogorzelski mow down Na`Vi in a matter of seconds in B.

All of a sudden up 12-9, Natus Vincere could no longer fight back Virtus.pro, and despite winning one more round, wound up losing the opening map de_season with a 10-16 score.

Na`Vi got into a five-on-three quickly on their terrorist pistol round on de_mirage, but Wojtas and Paweł "byali" Bieliński cleaned up the bombsite, giving Virtus an early 2-0 lead.

Teslenko called for another force buy on round three, and his team took over the A site. However, Virtus also went for a weak buy, and a triple by Kubski allowed them to win one back.

Neo's team had a surprisingly tough time with Edward-less Na`Vi

Down 1-3, Kovács won an unlikely one-on-two with his AWP in B, and forced the Poles on two saves, before they went on a run of six straight rounds, including a two-on-three by Kubski and Pogorzelski.

Up 9-4 Virtus' Jarząbkowski aggressively pushed middle for two early picks, but Kostin's one-on-two win saw Na`Vi retain hope for a comeback, despite Pogorzelski's triple that gave his side a 10-5 lead.

Kovács and Teslenko stopped Virtus.pro's A hit on the pistol round, but next two rounds were traded in regular CZ75 fashion, seeing Virtus first win in B, but then Na`Vi force buy to go back up 2-1 in the half.

After a save round Kostin won the most important round of the half, a one-on-two clutch in the A site. Two more round wins tied the game before Jarząbkowski's three kills and an assist gave Virtus the lead back.

Na`Vi lost the two next rounds, including a full save round, to put Virtus up 14-12. However, Teslenko's aggressive push paid off, giving him two kills and allowing Na`Vi to overrotate for an easy round win, forcing Virtus to save.

GuardiaN had a number of huge rounds today

Now tied at 14-14, a quick triple by Kovács gave Na`Vi their first lead on the map, and the final round of de_mirage saw Virtus.pro slaughtered in the B tunnels for a 16-14 Na`Vi win.

Virtus started de_train with a pistol round win in the inner site as the defenders. Na`Vi once again opted to buy early, this time on the second round, and three entries from Kostin outside won them the round.

It was then the Poles' turn to force buy, but three kills by Kovács proved too much to handle, with Na`Vi gaining a shortlived 3-2 lead until Wojtas' triple on the following round tied it up again.

Jarząbkowski then won a really long drawn one-on-one in inner versus Kovács, and Virtus quickly ran up a 6-3 lead before Natus Vincere managed to win a CZ75 save round.

Kovács then crashed on a full buy round, resulting in Na`Vi getting picked apart slowly, with the Polish side now gaining a commanding 9-4 lead on the deciding map of the series.

Virtus.pro advance over Natus Vincere

It was then Kovács' turn to play the hero once more, as he aced the entire Virtus.pro team, including a one-on-three clutch in the end. He followed it up with a three kill round, giving Na`Vi an acceptable 6-9 half time score.

Virtus had a flying start in the second half though, once again winning the pistol rounds, and two save rounds, to go up 12-6. Na`Vi got a stop in inner on round four, but Virtus.pro won one right back.

Now trailing 7-13, Kostin attempted to kick-start another comeback with a triple kill, and a pair of double kills from him and Kovács brought Natus Vincere to nine rounds total.

That'd be as close as they'd get though, with Virtus first taking over the inner site, and Wojtas then clutching a one-on-one with low health for game point after Ischuk killed his teammate.

Final round saw Virtus take down a CZ75 Na`Vi  buy, as Kovács' two kills weren't enough, and Virtus.pro advanced to the consolidation final to face compLexity.

Yeah, but both teams made a lot of misstakes. But it was a great game to watch, and I was suprised that Na'Vi played this good without Edward. He is kinda important for Na'Vi :)

Yup. Ceh9 played well for a person who hasnt played in the pro scene for a time. But if Edward was threre it would have been a much closer game.

Yeah, but they used "consolidation" instead of consolation in the bold headline. Someone is going to correct it, I guess.
