G3 group draw

The group draw for G3 has been made, with the 12 participants having learned their fate in the British tournament.

After taking into consideration the seedings provided by HLTV.org, the Gfinity staff proceeded to conduct the group draw, which placed the 12 participating teams into two different groups.

The group stage will use a round robin format, meaning that every team in attendance will play a minimum of five matches. The top four sides from each group will then progress to the playoffs, which will use a single elimination best-of-three format.

Ninjas in Pyjamas, who currently sit first in HLTV.org's world ranking, have been drawn in the same group as ESEA champions iBUYPOWER and DreamHack Valencia runners-up Epsilon, with fnatic, Infused and London Conspiracy completing the group.

Virtus.pro, the number-two side in the world, will lock horns with Titan, dignitas, ESG, mousesports and Rasta Gaming.

Group A Group B
Sweden NiP Poland Virtus.pro
United States iBUYPOWER Denmark dignitas
Sweden fnatic France Titan
France Epsilon Sweden ESG
United Kingdom Infused Germany mousesports
Norway London Conspiracy United Kingdom Rasta Gaming

Stay tuned to HLTV.org for full coverage of the G3 tournament, which will take place on August 2-3 at the Olympic Park in London.

iBP will almost certainly beat Epsilon, Infused, and London Conspiracy. It's a 50/50 to me with fnatic, and I sincerely doubt they'll beat NiP. But they tend to suck overseas so who even knows, they could come in last in their group.
