iBUYPOWER beat dAT Team

iBUYPOWER live to fight another day at ESL One Cologne following a 16-6 victory over dAT Team on de_cobblestone.

The pistol round began with the teams trading kills in the Skyfall area, leaving just two men alive from each side. The remaining players from dAT Team, who were playing on the T side, were able to plant the bomb in A but were extremely low on health, so they were easy prey for their opponents.

dAT went for a full buy in the third round and that strategy bore fruits as their players wrought havoc in B, especially Egor "flamie" Vasilyev, who landed three kills. The Russian team then equalized the score on two rounds and came close to taking the lead, but fell victim to their own passive playing style as they ran out of time.

swag leading the scoreboard yet again

With the score 5-2 in favour of iBP, dAT opted for a straight B push and were completely slaughtered by Braxton "swag" Pierce’s AWP and Sam "DaZeD" Marine’s M4A1. In the following gun round, dAT went for another slow play, this time in A, and were once again taken down, this time by Tyler "Skadoodle" Latham and his AWP.

dAT still tried to get back into the game with a double from Andrey "B1ad3" Gorodenskiy and a triple from flamie in the 13th round, but swag kept the Russians at bay in the following round and powered iBP to take a resounding 12-3 lead into the second half.

In the second half, dAT managed to close the gap by winning the opening three rounds, but in the first gun round iBP proved their superiority, with swag getting an early AWP kill from the tower before his team planted the bomb in B. Despite dAT’s efforts, there was little they could do to stop the North American side, who ran out 16-6 winners.

Difference is, the rest of IBP were doing their part. None of them were playing poorly, just playing decently. Flamie was the only real one on dAT doing damage, with ub1que chiming in with some entry frags here and there.

Maikalelelele, just an FYI, flamie is even able to TOP frag on the losing side getting closer to 20kills having only won 3rds throughout the whole 1st half vs the best in the states... Can u do the same on LAN? ;) Kappa, no offense :) Just really felt liek saying it :) P.S. Delpan, my friend, do you have any other questions? Ill be more than happy to answer for you! Another Kappa I felt like saying :) gg dAT anyway... U proved everything already to shut those kids up who were saying BS regarding online results...

WorldEdit did exactly the same at Voronezh Cup as what he's been doing online for a long time. Everybody plays poorly once in a while, and considering an event as big as this was the international debute for WorldEdit I can imagine him having more nerves than most of the other players at this event who have a lot more experience from playing major events.

Ohhh, I guess cause he failed to qualify and fell short to the hands of a better and more prepared team during that SPECIFIC moment and time coming into the match as GODS underestimating the opponent where it mattered a lot ----> pleeeeeeeeeaaase my frieand youtube.com/watch?v=dcP2mdnYbcw <3

People always wondering how far could ex-coL really go if they didnt lose swag. They didnt have a chance to bootcamp before Katowice, and swag's internet died for like the whole week at that time. They still took a map from NiP and nearly took down NiP on train. On behalf of that, make me love the current C9 more than iBP. You can always feel the courage and passion from the team and they always make unbelievable results, depanding on their line-up. I know many people including me never feel the confidence on SeanGares, but he did show up very important performances on both DHW2013 and Katowice 2014. Now they have Shroud, nearly the same young talent as Swag back in 2013, I really wish them the best.

They already exceeded expectations by qualifying, and they were far from ridiculous. If you want to see ridiculous, check out NBK kiling himself on catwalk while his team is leading 15-14 before loosing the game in double overtime...
