FACEIT League schedule released

FACEIT League schedule has been released for both European and North American section.

With $50,000 on the line, FACEIT League is setting up to be the record holder for a non-Valve sponsored event in CS:GO and it has attracted most of the best teams in the world.

Starting from tomorrow, September 3rd, the league's online section will take place each Wednesday and Thursday until October 9th, including a "superweek" at the end when there will be double amount of action from October 6th-9th.

French scene's changes could become official tomorrow when FACEIT League begins

If the previously reported changes in the French scene are true, we could see the new teams in action already tomorrow. Worth noting is that instead of Epsilon and LDLC, the teams holding those slots are listed under the names BST and Mercenary, respectively.

In Europe, the eight teams will play against each other twice for a total of 56 matches, while in North America the six participants will meet each other one time only, producing a total of 15 matches.

Due to the home-away system in Europe, a new map veto process was introduced in which the away team removed two maps from the pool, after which the home team selected one of the five remaining maps. This has already been done for the entire season as the teams went through the veto process this evening.

We ran a new and unique veto system for the league. Each team plays each other twice, once as the home and once as the away team. As the home team they are able to select the map vs their opponent after the opponent has vetoed two maps. As the away team they must play their opponents choice and are allowed to use two vetoes of their own. Knife rounds will still run as usual to decide decides, but teams will play each twice twice, once as the home team with the map advantage and once as the away team with the slight disadvantage.
