ENCORE join 3DMAX

3DMAX have announced that they have secured the services of the team known as ENCORE.

The Finnish team were put together by Joona "⁠natu⁠" Leppänen at the end of June following the disbandment of the ENCE crew as star player Aleksi "⁠allu⁠" Jalli opted to further his career in mousesports.

ENCORE were essentially created for ASUS ROG Summer in Helsinki, but a runners-up finish at the event showed that the team have great promise, so the players decided to stick together and look for an organisation to represent.

With the $22,000 Game Show League coming up and ENCORE being one of the teams in attendance, the Finnish players have now linked up with 3DMAX.

The news follows up the announcement of 3DMAX signing French female team Ultimate Gaming, who will attend the ESWC finals after coming in second place at GameGune.

"We are delighted to have found a great partner in 3DMAX that enables us to compete to our maximum going further," Joona "natu" Leppänen told 3DMAX's website.

"We've taken our time evaluating our future plans and with this opportunity coming across made it an easy choice for us moving forward.

"We have built and will continue to build this lineup on good chemistry and hard work to bring Finland back on the map as one of the better sides in the Counter-Strike world."

The Finnish team have been drawn in the same group as HellRaisers, Natus Vincere, dAT Team and Planetkey Dynamics for the Game Show League, whose schedule has not yet been announced.

3DMAX have the following male CS:GO squad:

It's NA, not USA. North America = it includes Canada you dimwit. NA = Northern part of America. How hard can it be to understand? As far as I know there's Canadian teams. TST is Canadian i believe.

Basically with NA teams, if they have 3+ from US they have US flag, or other way around for canada. Ex. C9 has 2 canadians and 3 muricans, so they have US flag.

Good to know. This is so ironic, most North American ppl call themselves "Americans" when there's clearly a lot more countries and people and now some NA fake-flag fat kid comes to me explaining abbreviations as if i wasn't from America. Actually, TST has many players from different countries i believe (USA = United States of America and Canada = North American Country. Get used to it).

Why the hate though? It's obviously not because the team is bad, they are better than most of the NA teams besides C9 and iBP. And I think that even the rest of the NA teams have potential and it's a shame not to see them more on internationals.

1) A sponsor found! We are going to practice hard and aim at the top! 2) Decent results online, these guys might have some potential! 3) a LAN tournament, just a bit too soon. Plenty of promise at display again, but a failure in the most important match of the tournament has them placing somewhere around the middle 4) No matter, we will keep practicing and show our best at the next tournament! 5) Next tournament rolls around, we lacked motivation and time and a dog died and a computer exploded so we couldn't practice as much as we wanted to 6) Out during semi finals/first elimination game 7) One or two members leave, replaced with new ones 8) Now we are really motivated and totally going to practice a lot more than ever! 9) Results are incosistent, a nice 14/16 loss to a tough team and then a 4/16 blowout against a bad team 10) LAN tournament rolls around, out during groupstage 11) Nothing heard from them for a while 12) Repeat from 7 twice 13) Disbanded, the sponsor never considers a Finnish team again Calling it now.
