Fragbite Masters invites revealed

fragbite has revealed the names of the teams who have been invited to take part in the third season of its Masters league.

Earlier in the week, fragbite announced the first details about the third season of its Masters tournament, which will feature a prize purse in excess of $42,000 and also LAN finals in Stockholm.

A total of 16 teams will take part in the online stage of the league, 12 of whom are invited by the organisation, while the remaining four will come from online qualifiers.

Bad Monkey Gaming to take on male teams

Ninjas in Pyjamas and dignitas, the winners of the first two seasons, have both been handed invitations, just like French trio of Titan, LDLC and Epsilon, and Polish giants Virtus.pro.

The biggest surprise in the participants' list comes in the form of female side Bad Monkey Gaming, which means that fragbite is following in the footsteps of the Hitbox Arena Championship and is mixing male and female gaming.

Fragbite Masters Season 3 invites:

Sweden NiP Denmark dignitas
Denmark CPH Wolves France Titan
France LDLC France Epsilon
Sweden Bad Monkey Gaming Sweden fnatic
Ukraine Na`Vi Ukraine HellRaisers
Poland Virtus.pro Germany mousesports

A good snus is just like a really good beer. It's an experience, a passion. I'ts also not really unhealthy, and very easy to help you get off cigarettes.

people moan when they aren't taking part in events vs males and you moan now that they do. they are one of the best female teams in the world so if there was any female team that had to be invited to break this barrier of males/females it was them. its a good move and they might do surprisingly well so stfu

They can still take part in the qualifiers, some even do. They just never make it anywhere because compared to the males they are average at best, miles away from the top teams. They will not do surprisingly well, they will get crushed by every single team.

You don't get it. If they want to become better they need to play against better teams. Obviously, these teams are TOO good for them but it's better than nothing.

No one is stopping them from playing better teams, and nothing is stopping them from actually trying to qualify in ANY of these tournaments. They do not need an invite to do that, because if they had any decency or will to even TRY to qualify, they would have done this before for the 100s of other tournaments, and they would be in the qualifiers instead of taking the invite. 0 pride or dignity whatsoever.

But if no one invites them they will never get the chance :) Its a unisex-tournament and if organizers start inviting them, they will sooner or later be on the same level :) Its hard to win against teams if you cant practice against them.

how is it written it is unisex? from the beggining of CS all tournaments have been open to anyone, girls or males, only girls had their own tournaments and had never been close to the male level. two tournaments announced this week with one female team invited, imo it's such a waste and a disapointement for all the teams who deserves it more. every single team in CS has started at the same point and have grown, getting better, attending event and trying to get an invite there and there by beating good teams when they have the possibility to clash some topteams. your argument is just senseless

btw, I guess we gotta be happy for them, maybe they will finally attend some mixte events, but they invited 2 teams this week, and I hope they won't anymore and that female teams will try to qualify like everyone does by themselves. It's their opportunity to show their level, and that's good for them. But I don't want it to happen at everysingle online tournament with topteams and some subtops invited, because it's just such a waste

Then you might as well invite teams that won local LANS and shit, winning female only events doesn't count for piss all so surely they didn't get invited because of that. As I said, what stopped them trying to qualify for any event against the men recently? the teams that got invited earned it playing against the best, not playing against women who are clearly not on the same level.

It will only be taken seriously when they take it seriously, how many have tried to qualify for any of the recent events in CS:GO history? do they just sit and wait for an invite or something? I quite enjoy watching the females and have done ever since 1.6 but they never mixed with the men and just waited for freebies.

When it comes to e-sports indeed there's zero excuses but how many females have been able to compete with the men in e-sports over the last 15 or so years across every e-sports title? I remember watching ESWC females years ago in 1.6 and some of them played fucking amazing and I always wondered why they never tried to play the men and I still wonder it. Can't always rely on female only events, sometimes you just need to man the fuck up and grow a pair.

Still doesn't make sense, easy money? it's still easy money because they are hardly going to attend LANS by finishing in the top 4 so they can still play the female only events and win them. It doesn't cost money to try and qualify for online leagues.

In order to go pro they need to mix with male players, there is no critical mass to create 100% female teams at male pro level. There could be one or even 2, but then female scene would die because there wouldn't be any competition among them. If the scene is not competitive it is not worth watching/following and sponsors will flee. Also if they start mixing with males, female gaming loses any sense.. if there was any in the first place :)

It's not really a question whether we want to play with males or not. It's a question whether males want to play with us. You also need to look at it from our POV. If 1 girl gathers 4 other girls, we can go to Copnehagen Games, and eventually beat some girls to win some money.. OR, we could gather 4 mediocre boys, and get beat in the groups, because of top teams. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to play with boys, but even if I did, I'm 99% positive that we'd never succeed.

... or you could be just as good as the top players, get 4 great male players, and wreck. Doesn't have to be 4 either. I don't care how many women are in the game I'm watching, as long as they're good players and are fun to watch. Why do you automatically assume you're worse than men at this ?

Which simply means you are a sellout that rather not put in the effort to actually be good at this game, so you rather take the easy way out. If a player is skilled enough, they will eventually find a group of players who are as skilled as them once they established themselves as a good player. Saying you would gather 4 mediocre boys only means you are putting yourself at the level of a mediocre player (and even that may be generous). Don't make the bullshit excuse that guys simply do not want to play with girls, because if you were good enough you would not have that problem. Establish yourself, work your way up in male leagues if you actually want to get any semblance of respect as a player. All of the female tournaments and leagues amount to absolutely nothing.

There's no reason, but there are incentives to not to. Female e-sports exist just because it is a big market opportunity from the organizers side, and because of easy money with 95% of the competition (men) out for the players. it's obvious they can play as well as any man, but they can be popular and get stream/tourney money by being random gold novas.

Wouldn't it be a bigger market if they could compete with the men and even beat some? then you no longer have an "average" female team but a decent female team but until they step up and either play and/or beat the men then it's almost impossible to take them seriously.

they can't "compete" against men, is just a matter of numbers. For each woman playing CS:GO there may be 10 or even more men playing. Asuming there would be already girls playing at a level comparable with male pros, then you could find 1 girl every 2-3 teams, if not more. For them to have as many pro teams as men have, the average women level should be around 10 times better, just because they are so few.

I know they can't compete but you can still try, BMG are not an average female side we're talking about here they are the best and have players who are not exactly new to CS, in general females stand no chance but it's not impossible for one team to put up some sort of a fight, not expecting them to win much but still, they can still try. How else do you get better at a game? trying to tell me these girls playing MM is a better option to improve at CS than playing the best teams in the world?

You are absolutely right. But then my point is: they don't need to. They already have an organized CS:GO brand that rewards them for being girls, not for being the better possible players. It is all about effort/profit rate, and they already get a lot of attention and money for the "little" effort they make. And attention and money is what EVERY human being seeks in this world (gaming), so, why give it up?

Probably because they didn't earn it like others did, and got invited purely cause of them being females. I'm definitely not being sexist, just stating facts, they didn't earn it and just got invited cause of the male/female ordeal.

And Wolf earned their place in ESL cologne, right? All they did was beating gold nova level worthless teams in a so called "qualifier".

No clue tbh, did they? I never saw them as a threat to any team so I never paid attention to them.

Waste of invite for bmg imo. You give invite to proven team. If they want to play the league they can play qualifier like every other unproven team. I really dont like this with inviting female teams for tourneys. They take spot off a better team(proven team). If they work their way up like all male teams then its ok of course, but I dont like this approach. Play qualifiers and prove that you deserve to play. I'm not being offensive to bmg, they get invite they accept of course, so no white knighting plz. This is for organizers. Anyways gl.

Nice to see a female team playing/getting destroyed by the males, but i feel like there are wayyyy better teams who are more deserving of an invite, having a vagina (5 in this case) shouldnt be enough.

Female teams will never have what it takes to compete with men. That's just a fact for every sport or competition in the world. UBINITED, who is probably the best female team in NA and no offense to them, can't even get out of ESEA-Open and that's the easiest division. These girls will get crushed and everyone knows it.

They literally got invited because the organizers knew they wouldn't even get close to qualifying on their own. Well earned spot, and way to disrespect any other real team that would have qualified over them for an incompetent team that has done absolutely nothing in competitive CS aside from winning against other incompetent teams. I swear these female teams have it so easy. Everything is just handed to them without having to be 10% as good as any of the other teams invited. They can try to play in the same leagues, qualify for the same tournaments, and earn the spot like any normal team, but they choose not to unless its spoon-fed to them. Good games. Edit: Considering dAT and LC aren't on the list, I hope they at least declined the invite, because if BMG got invited over them, that is insanely disrespectful for two teams that actually went to Cologne.
