DreamHack Skellefteå breakdown

Besides being freezing cold, what’s going on at DreamHack Skellefteå?

The LAN party started at 8:00 CET this morning. The BYOC LAN will start at 17:00 CET. Eight groups with three to four teams in each; will be playing to determine who will advance to the playoffs, where the four wildcarded teams await.

A sad thing about the wildcarded teams, would be the roccat won’t show up due miscommunication between the CS supervisors and team. Also SoA and mTw dropped their attendance at DreamHack a few days ago. Even Polish team Delta canceled their attendance for DreamHack. SK and mibr is still in the tournament and will be playing their first matches Friday.

So DreamHack Skellefteå might not seem that interesting. But do not be fooled. There’s 100.000SEK to grab at DreamHack Skellefteå, plus a pre-qualifier for the National Swedish ESWC finals taking place at DreamHack Summer. SK, mibr, Begrip and Playzone being the four teams who received a wildcard would be the top candidates to walk away with the gold bars.

So what’s happening right now? The local CS and HLTV servers are being set up by suom1. Had some issues, but he’s re-compiling the kernel now. Should insure the players those needed 1000FPS on the gameserver.

There’s all a few photos from Wednesday and you can find the in the DreamHack Skellefteå gallery. Stay tuned for more action from DreamHack Skellefteå, and tune in around 17:00 CET to watch the first matches.

He's talking about fnatic. Clearly did not read the post, as I did not mention anything about fnatic.

No roccat easier for Sk (depending on how Mibr performs)... Pd: Nix0n beware not ending up a hot chocolate (hot whatever) junkie due to the cold!!! xDD
