HellRaisers win ESWC qualifier

HellRaisers won the Ukrainian/Russian ESWC qualifier after beating ASUS CyberZone 3-2 in the grand final (11-16 on de_cache, 13-16 on de_nuke, 16-7 on de_overpass and 22-20 on de_mirage).

Organised by Starladder, the ESWC qualifier featured three Russian and five Ukrainian teams, who played from the Kiev Cybersport Arena and the Moscow Cyber Stadium, respectively.

The tournament usd a double-elimination, best-of-three, format, with the winner of the Upper Bracket getting a one-map advantage going into the best-of-five grand final.

As expected, the two favourites, HellRaisers and dAT Team (who attended this event as ASUS CyberZone) reached the Upper Bracket final, which was a one-sided affair as Yegor "⁠markeloff⁠" Markelov's side picked up a 2-0 victory while losing just 14 rounds in the process.

The grand final also pitted these two teams against one another, but this time around the match was far more interesting: ASUS CyberZone took a 2-1 lead after picking up a 16-11 victory on de_cache and a 16-13 win on de_nuke.

HellRaisers suddenly found themselves on the brink of elimination, but they kept their cool and eventually ran out 3-2 winners following a 16-7 victory on de_overpass and a dramatic 22-20 success on de_mirage.

I mean, I know why you're so sad it's because they will play in Paris and u will be at home watching them playing and beating some of those teams. It's sad isn't it? They are better than atleast 5 teams that will attend to the event. But you will see them ;) oh wait, Is it because Finland doesn't have good teams? Hltv logic :D , and btw spanish teams could have attend the event but they are onliners and they skip (hotel problems) they said, while Porto has more than 20 hotels. And yes, both portuguese teams would have won against spanish teams. You can see the stats, but once again who are you exacly? :D

Massive shame for daT/Asus. Didn't expect them to perform that well in the final after the earlier loss to HR but they looked brilliant. Really strong lineup (WE and flamie both pulling off some brilliant plays and blad3 leading well with the other two being solid support). Would have loved to see them close out mirage to win but HR stayed calm and made the most of Asus mistakes to just win it. Awesome game, shame more people didn't watch it.

Epsilon will not attend because they failed to qualify for eswc FRANCE qualifier (they lost to iGamerz 21-19 3 weeks ago ; roster VKLL, atLantis, evy, sirza, Freelance).So its only epsilons lack of motivation fault to blame ... vakarm.net/scoreboard/match/EPSILON-vs-i.. All of the teams has "qualified" for the event trough qualifiers so stop whining ... its a shame Asus cyberzone are not attending but thats the way it is.
