Our first video interview from DreamHack Winter 2014 is with HellRaisers' Kirill "ANGE1" Karasiow, who shared his thoughts on their matches, the addition of a coach and expectations for groups and playoffs.

HellRaisers are through to playoffs with the first seed from the hardest group, group A, where they beat Cloud9 after a one-sided Terrorists side on de_inferno before they went toe-to-toe with fnatic.

We talked to Kyrylo "⁠ANGE1⁠" Karasiow about their two matches, HellRaisers' preparation, the addition of Andrey "⁠B1ad3⁠" Gorodenskiy as the team's coach, his impact on the game and more. Hit play to see the whole interview below:

Yeah of course. I'm just trying to explain his "joke" since an IGL is supposed to be a team player and the way Ange1 explained it, it sounds like they play with 6 players.

not really the same thing, but could be potentially. i think this is almost as fucked up as the cheaters. a team has 5 FUCKING players, not 6. its screwed up and they should both dq hr (just bcs it makes me angry) and also disallow every team to have anyone else ´behind them who can speak to them while theyre playing.

he is essentially their strtcaller. thats not fine for me. ange1 is their stratcaller, and if hes a shit caller, or he cant call and frag as good at the same time or the team is shit at giving info, whatever, the solution is not to play 6v5. thats unfair u kno? u could say yeaa but everybody has the possibility to do it like that blablabla. first: no, not every team has an organization strong enough to afford that. second of all: why let everybody cheat? yeah flusha is cheating. we righteously wanna ban him and jail his ass (or rip is hands off or some shit). if we make the analogy, thatdd be like: yeaa flusha cheats, so were just gonna give everybody access to that cheat.

its not at all cheating, its just an evolution, it might give esports an edge over usual, more simplistic and therefore a little bit less sophisticated games like ..football or such. lets wait how it turns out. its basically 5+1 vs 5+1 now, I find the role "analyzer/igl" amazing, maybe even more then actually fragging

i don't like it. if this is allowed, all the top teams have to get a seperate igl since it gives an advantage to the 5 players to focus on execution. but what about semi-pros or upcoming teams that don't have the resource or money to pay a 6th member? how can they compete against 6 players? a good igl would rather play himself, so getting him to igl for you for free is.. pretty unlikely.

Never understood why more teams didn't do this. Coach can focus 100% on the tactics and the players just focus on executing them and fragging. And that also means you dont have a IGL to bottom frag most times.

Because there is not that many people out there with that skill and specific talent and even if there is most of them are already playing for a team. Then you need a big incentive to get someone to move teams or someone to dedicate all his time towards that team. That incentive can only be money and not that many organisations have that much and most players won't share their prize or sticker money with the staff. Further more his style needs to fit in with the team as well as him as a person.

I agree..but the igl also have to be an active player to keep up with what other teams do in that case. Maybe playing pracs with the team if they are only 4 and so on.

The coach can't be there all the time, specially for online matches, so it's not true. Also it must be pretty hard to be a real caller without being into the game and hf putting up training with an IGL that isn't playing.

The coach can be in Teamspeak in online matches. Actually I think it would be easier to be a true strat caller because you are able to see everything. And I don't see how training would be an issue.

b1ad3 visionary, he has been around for ages and was responsible for discovering some of the best talents in ukraine. also competed at the highest level with a-gaming etc. it's very valuable to have a player like him on the sideline calling all the shots, all 5 players can focus 100% on playing.

I predict in the future this will happen more often. this ogl (out game leader) can have a huge impact on the team as he can be on voice chat together and has the best overview watching at all screens at once. right now its a bit of an ungrateful job as the players will get all the credit but there is a lot to gain. I'm actually surprise fifflaren didn't take this roll in nip. he's obviously a very good igl but lacks in the fragging department. this way he could become even more valuable to the team.

If you wouldn't write the brackets, it would mean the player exactly said this. But he didn't, for example he could've said "Well, Blade is our new in-game leader." So if you quote you have to quote the full sentence or you write something in brackets.

No, he said our first interview was supposed to be one with PENTA, but this one ended up being our first interview instead. It wasn't done instead, it was just first instead of second.

Tgwr1s - I am more than sure, this is unimportant for fans unless there is somewhere official interview schedule. Next time just start with the traditional way and no excuses and no important information. It's the same if you will say that We usually film with GoPro but now we are filming with iPhone 6 Plus.
