adreN joins iBP's ESEA roster

iBUYPOWER have added Eric "adreN" Hoag to their ESEA roster ahead of the season finals, in Dallas.

The North American giants are already looking ahead to the ESEA Finals following a disappointing campaign at DreamHack Winter, where they finished third of their group following defeats against dignitas and PENTA Sports.

With Derek "⁠desi⁠" Branchen, who was a stand-in at the Swedish major, unable to attend the ESEA LAN with iBUYPOWER after playing for two teams during the regular season, the FACEIT Finals runners-up were on the lookout for a new player for the upcoming event.

And it seems now that iBP have found their man in the form of The Stream Team's Eric "⁠adreN⁠" Hoag, who has joined the team's roster on ESEA's website.

The future of the former Dynamic and Curse member had been up in the air since The Stream Team were left with a three-man roster after Todd "⁠anger⁠" Williams and Salvatore "⁠Volcano⁠" Garozzo linked up with Denial and eLevate, respectively.

iBUYPOWER, who will take on Virtus.pro in the first round of the ESEA Finals on December 5, currently have the following lineup registered:

Very nice :) But adreN will only stand-in for Desi. I don't think he will remain in the rooster after ESEA, since he wanted to focus on his streamer career.

Streaming can make him more money than going pro can :) streaming for a week with 10k views, which he can get pretty easily will get him ~3/4 avg. monthly salary.

He has a real job and a degree, he doesn't need to study. If he's making supplemental off of streaming, that's good for him in the long run, but he's pretty career focused which is understandable.

He does have like 600 subs and counting. I realize not all of those subs will stay all year, but people will re-sub for knife giveaways and stuff like that, and there are a few big donors. Let's say he gets $15K a year from streaming. That's not bad considering he has a job. I know he jokes on stream about quitting his job, but I'd imagine he'd need a bit more income from streaming to pull that off. But I mean, he works in IT, right? There is some freelance IT work you can do and have a flexible schedule for streaming. TL;DR, it's possible.

Eric is an IGL. He was iBP IGL when they won ESEA LAN. They will absolutely use him as IGL because they all know how to play with him and work well with him. He is a great IGL.

Yea. Dazed and adreN worked together. I feel those 2 and sgares are the best IGLs NA will ever have. They each have there problems though. Sean and adreN have fragging issues with rifles and dazed can be a bit of a dick. Lol

I know adreN quit playing CS on the pro level and just mainly played for fun with his "stream team" due to having a full time job if I remember correctly, but I'm wondering if he is now back to playing full time and he quit his job or he wants to try manage both - playing and working fulltime...
