CPH Wolves add Aizy, Nico

Copenhangen Wolves have announced that they have reshuffled their squad by changing two players.

The Danish team cut a frustrating figure at DreamHack Winter last weekend, having finished at the bottom of their group following 4-16 and 12-16 defeats against iBUYPOWER and PENTA Sports, respectively.

Despite having just one week to practice - they qualified from the last-chance tournament at Inferno Online Stockholm - CPH Wolves have decided to undergo roster changes in the wake of the Swedish major, and parted ways with the newest member on the team, Casper "⁠cadiaN⁠" Møller and Jesper "⁠TENZKI⁠" Plougmann.

Nico returns to CPH Wolves

Replacing the duo are Philip "⁠aizy⁠" Aistrup, who recently made way for René "⁠cajunb⁠" Borg in dignitas, and Nicolaj "⁠Nico⁠" Jensen, who returns to activity after a brief spell away from the spotlight.

With these changes, CPH Wolves now have:

Jacob "⁠Pimp⁠" Winneche
Markus "⁠Kjaerbye⁠" Kjærbye
Philip "⁠aizy⁠" Aistrup

If he does put some effort in he could be the third best awper behind Kenny and Guardian. It's a shame he doesn't have the time, I really like watching him.

I would say that Guardian is the best overall. Kenny wins when it comes to aggressive playstyle and Nico is more of a defensive/angle player(was arguebly the best defensive AWP'er in his CSGO start/his prime. However when they face off, it will always come down to who is the best on the day which we have seen from time to time.

I think Kenny is slightly better, but it's very close. I don't think Nico has ever been on the same level as the other 2 though. He could of got there by now if he had stayed in Dignitas.

So they finally have a well-balanced team with 1 dedicated sniper and 3 solid riflers. If they don't split up after some unhappy matches, they will be strong enough to compete for 5-8 places and give a fight to any top team. Btw, they created a team with karrigan, and failed, what was pretty expected. Now karrigan can replace FeTiSh in dignitas. Poor dignitas...

Btw, it's almost an old WW lineup, but with aizy and kjaerbye instead of MSL and Nille. They might have a great future, if noone will ragequit CS after having failed at some tournament.

although the roster looks promising now. this cadian guy is a noob. i'd say the worst among pro players, so no surprises he got kicked. tenzki on the other hand was good. i remember his team pushing NiP to its limit on de_nuke when csgo was young.

yes, but Nico is unmotivated af, and I do not know why teams still choose to pick him (probably because Nico without motivation > any awper with motivation ?) .. he gets out of teams for stupid reasons and then gets back to them like nothing happened.

How long did the last lineup survive? It wasn't that long I think? If these changes were made due to performances of cadiaN and tenzki, I think they should have stayed longer, practice more. There might be other reasons ofc, though.

Weird, think cadian has been really good lately. Good performances at DHW qualifier and also decent at DH. Always thought pimp was overrated, he is good for middletier-team. But mostly falls behind against top8 teams. Nico, meh.

The changes looks fine, but..... tenzki is lurker, aizy is a "entry fragger" cadian is an offensive awper, nico is a defensive one. Will this work out for them? Was the team combination wrong before, or is it going to be even more wrong now? tenzki was toxic versus 3DMAX, but clearly don't deserve all this hate, no matter what he was a good player. cadian??? Why even call him badain, he wasn't bad at all, take a look at ESWC stats? The best together with tenzki from their team, how would they even win vs Hell raisers if they wasnt there?

Nico is known for doing "movie shots" - which means he tries to do alot of sick stuff but in the end can fall back on being defensive - just as an awper should be :)
