k1ck won xfunction Masters by Hitbox following a 2-1 victory over AlienTech (20-22 on de_inferno, 16-11 on de_nuke and 16-6 on de_cache).

Held at Clube de Jogos de Matosinhos, in Porto, xfunction Masters, the last LAN event of the year in Portugal, featured 16 teams from all over the country who battled it out for cash and hardware prizes worth over €2,000.

As expected, the two Portuguese teams who were in attendance at the ESWC finals last month were the ones to make it to the grand final of the event: k1ck beat eGeneration and xfunction in the first two rounds of the playoffs, while AlienTech saw off FTW-eSports and 3R2L.

The grand final kicked off with a world-class display from Tiago "⁠marq⁠" Marques, who amassed a whopping 42 kills to help AlienTech beat k1ck 22-20 on de_inferno. However, Ricardo "⁠fox⁠" Pacheco's men kept their cool and turned the series around following a 16-11 win on de_nuke and a 16-6 beating on de_cache.

Poland, Singapore, Indonesia, specially that HLTV flags are so small you can't even see if it's Morocco or China.. I know Moroccan scene of CS GO doesn't even exist but I'm not the one complaining about the prize pool & that's actually a good prize pool for Portugal, not to make a living of but just the encourage the scene to grow.. I guess prize-pools depends on how big the scene is in a country and not on which country it is, because it's the sponsor who pays.. EDIT : When ASUS organized a tournament in Portugal, k1ck won like 5 laptops that costs 1000+ euros, bigger prize-pool than some countries that are better than Portugal economically, so it proves my point.

So the advertisement is for free? They pay even if partially, maybe the entrance tickets also helps to do so, but you can't just make advertisement of Hitbox without them paying anything, It's illogical.

180€ isn't that much, it's better than nothing... but still, I dunno how you can say it's "good" (900€ is the prizepool, there's 5 guys playing in k1ck, which means a 5 way split)... maybe 180€ is fine in eastern europe... if you take away travel expenses (only killdream doesn't really spent much to this tournament) there's like 100€ (maybe even less) left... Might help them with Christmas gifts, lol ----- and before the retards come and bash, yes it's better to have some tournaments like this than nothing. kthxbye
