CPH Wolves release team

Copenhagen Wolves have announced via their website that they have released their CS:GO division with immediate effect.

The Danish team had been left with a four-man roster since parting ways with Lukas "⁠gla1ve⁠" Rossander in the aftermath of the GDK Finals after he allegedly threatened to boycott the event due to his his girlfriend not being allowed into the venue.

Later on, CPH Wolves added former dignitas ingame leader Henrik "⁠FeTiSh⁠" Christensen as a stand-in for the MLG X Games Aspen qualifiers, but they failed to get one of the two spots at the North American event that were up for grabs.

Pimp & co released by CPH Wolves

In a statement issued on CPH Wolves' website, the Danish organisation explains that it decided against renewing the CS team's contracts, which expired on December 31, after negotiations with the players hit a stumbling block.

"We made Pimp and co. an offer and after a few negotiating meetings it was clear Copenhagen Wolves’ new strategy didn’t align with the expectations of the team," said CPH Wolves' Esport manager Frederik Byskov.

"We part ways without any bad feelings and wish the team the best of luck in their future.

"However, the Counter-Strike adventure continues in Copenhagen Wolves with a new team soon to be announced. Who, when and where will be revealed on a later date."

This means that the following players are now free to join a new organisation:

Markus "⁠Kjaerbye⁠" Kjærbye
Philip "⁠aizy⁠" Aistrup
Nicolaj "⁠Nico⁠" Jensen

Expected, the danish scene is a fking joke when it comes to teams staying together and organizations giving the teams a chance to prove themselves. Pretty sad, really :/

If you had read the entire story you would have seen that they did offer them a contract. The danish mentality and lack of intelligence on hltv is pretty sad, really :/

When I posted it only said that the players were released. My point still stands about danish teams splitting up after only a few months. (Dignitas is the exception, ofc) But I do hope Pimp and co. stay together and find a new organization to represent them instead of doing what every other danish team does after a streak of bad results.

yeah part of unu Ain, but if u dont perform weel, why stay? ,look at dignitas or PENTA bringing strux1 and karrigan, and they are better than before? if ex myXMG where bad backthen, why would they perform better with hunden now===???? lol

Dignitas hasn't really played any officials with Karrigan. Hunden is a very good in game leader. But you just look at the scoreboard? I saw their game on overpass yesterday. He made the right calls. Very good in the clutch calls

and if you look stats, K/D ratio, hunden is 0.70, and smF 0.90, if you want to improve, all of 5 players must be above 1.0 K/D ratings, just saying :)

If I were CPH admin, I would take aizy or kyarbye for smF,and cadiaN for HUNDEN, aizy has above 1.0, and cadian has about 0.97 that can still improve, cadiaN was also decent in mousports as IGL, and with AcilioN,MSL,friis,cadiaN,aizy it will be improvment for SHUREEE..

These guys arent even a team . They just keep recycling players so they dont lose the organization and sponsorship. You watch, now that they lost C/Wolves as an org these guys will fold. Its the right decision from C/Wolves management, go pick up a proper team.
