Pimp: "Massive step forward"

Earlier on Sunday, CPH Wolves announced that they had parted ways with their CS:GO team after failing to come to an agreement with the players over new contracts.

For the fans, the news came as a massive blow, also because the team are now on the hunt for a new organisation with a just a four-man roster following the dismissal of Lukas "⁠gla1ve⁠" Rossander last month.

However, Jacob "⁠Pimp⁠" Winneche remains optimistic about the team's chances and insists there is no bad blood between the players and Copenhagen Wolves.

"Today we officially part away with Copenhagen wolves," he told HLTV.org. "After a turbulent period with the whole gla1ve behavior problem our team has finally started to work well together.

"We have found what we believe is a more than suited replacement for gla1ve, and the future in game starts to look promising.

"Under this period we have also had several talks with wolves about extending our stay with them.

"It looked really promising for quite a while, but in the end our ends couldn't quite meet, which left both of us in this position. No bad feelings, we part away with good memories in both camps!"

Regarding gla1ve's replacement, Pimp said he will be announced soon, and refused to tell whether it will be Henrik "⁠FeTiSh⁠" Christensen, who played for the team in the MLG qualifiers.

"We're ready to continue our fight, and I'm more than hopeful about the future," he noted.

"We will soon be ready to announce our new fifth player, among other things. This is, despite what you might think, not a step back in our progress, but a massive step forward in the right direction!"
