Liquid ease past CLG

Liquid keep their hopes of reaching the MLG X Games Aspen semi-finals alive after a 16-5 rout of CLG on de_cache.

Starting off on the Terrorist side, CLG went for a textbook A push in the pistol round, only to be completely slaughtered by Liquid, who defended the site flawlessly, with Nick "⁠nitr0⁠" Cannella getting four kills to his name.

Despite getting a couple of great kills on eco, CLG still found themselves down 0-3 going into their first gun round, in which they decided again to rush A, once again with no success as they were obliterated by Jacob "⁠FugLy⁠" Medina and nitr0.

Liquid continued on a roll here and eventually took the score to 11-0 as CLG's efforts were simply in vain. Tarik "⁠tarik⁠" Celik's side then finally managed to get their first round of the game, but it did little in the way of troubling the former Denial side, who were up 14-1 at the break.

nitr0 led the scoreboard for Liquid

Things went from bad to worse for CLG at the start of the second half, as Liquid won the pistol round with ease following a mid push. With 13 match points in their hand, it was surprising to see Eric "⁠adreN⁠" Hoag's side take some time to seal the deal, but in the end Liquid ran out 16-5 winners in this one-sided contest.

They were supposed to win. Cache is one of their best and probably only best map. Almost beat iBP to overtime, so they obviously could beat CLG. CLG didn't know wtf they were even doing, TL kept shutting them down. Everyone was just hyping CLG too much.

I disagree. If someone watched the ex-IBP vs Liquid game, then those people should have know when the map was Cache to bet fast on Liquid. When i saw the map is Cache added fast 0.5 cent to my bet, because I just knew CLG is not as strong as IBP.

I was going to bet on Team Liquid originally, but CSGOLounge didn't let me. "All queues are full" or some shit like that. Tried again right before the match, SAME MESSAGE. This is why I don't bet anymore.

It's not..because nuke is not doable at all, whether as a T you have strats or not..CT rotate takes like 10 seconds... except that..those sites are both hard to reach because how much they are open

Strats don't just involve taking a site, they can involve a lot of map control. A well thought out strat will take into consideration the rotates, map control, delaying players and in general out playing them

More like CLG isn't that good on Cache and Liquid is. A game I can remember off the top of my head is mSpaz vs Torqued were they nearly lose 16-0.

Yo dawg. It's all possible. Liquid 100% can beat LDLC if the right map is chosen ( they better fucking not pick Inferno again..) CLG..well...on the right map and if Ptr and Tarik can go ham, they can beat Fnatic but it's lesser likely. Hopefully Fnatic will give CLG more respect than they gave to Liquid after seeing they beat LDLC

It's because MLG/X-Games wants all games to be played on the Main Stage. All the other LANs are normal, no idea what the fuck you're talking about. CEVO+ESEA Lan had multiple games going on at once.

Didn't expect CLG to stomp them but holy crap they just didn't show up..

I love Liquid so much. Such a young squad w/ potential. Fuck Torqued. CLG is good, but they got lucky.

This is by far the best tournament I've seen in CSGO. It's groupstages with teams all over the world and its beeing a roller coaster. CLG upset LDLC LDLC beat Fnatic Liquid beat CLG KaBuM beat C9 NiP beat Dignitas (which is not the surprising thing about that match) C9 beat NiP
