The first semi-final at KODE5 Global Finals just ended. mTw secured one of the two posts in the grand final.
One of the most intense matches I've have watched since the ESWC 2007 grand final between PGS and NoA ended just moments ago. SK Gaming took on mTw in the first semi-final at KODE5 Global Finals.
mTw started off rock solid, taking 14-1 as CT on de_inferno, gave SK Gaming a hint, that nothing would come easy in this match.
Things started off just as great on de_nuke. mTw starting CT taking home 11 rounds, while SK Gaming managed to gather 4. As T, it was a dejavu from SEC when mTw meet Alternate. It looked like mTw thought they'd already won, but things turn around and SK Gaming pulled out amazing CT play. Last round, a 1v1 were mJe didnt manage take out the last remaining enemy. SK Gaming nailed de_nuke 16:14.
Last map to decide who should advance to the grand final was set to be de_train, a map SK Gaming really dominated Team EG on. mTw won the knife and could start CT. However, things started very bad for mTw. They did manage to make a come-back and gather 7 CT rounds, while SK could take home 8. mTw really had to find some amazing T play and a whole lot of momentum to turn this match around.
The scene was awesome, this started to remind me more and more of ESWC 2007 in Paris. Not that 5000 people was cheering NOA NOA NOA, but this still gave me goosebumps, and why? mTw, especially Sunde and whiMp dominated SK Gaming and mTw came closer and closer to the victory. Last remaining rounds, mTw really played strong and SK Gaming only got a few kills. mTw gathering 9 T rounds to secure the win, while SK only had 4 rounds as CT on this "CT-dominated?" map.
When mTw won and whiMp realized it, he almost passed out and the others had to hold him. whiMp must be counted as a fully-blooded memeber of mTw now. Later on he can secure his first medal of gold, when playing the grand final at KODE5.

First semi-finalThe second participant for the grand final will be found between MYM and fnatic. fnatic won first map de_train 16:14 and just secured first half 12:3 on de_inferno.mTw vs.
