LDLC recruit Platinium

LDLC have announced that they have secured the services of Platinium-eSports' CS:GO squad.

The announcement comes just 72 hours after LDLC ventured into CS:GO again by signing Awsomniac, who are taking part in the ESL Major League.

LDLC have now decided to pick up a second CS:GO team in the form of Platinium-eSports, who rose to prominence when they defeated Ninjas in Pyjamas 16-10 during the group stage of ESWC 2014.

Platinium's team join LDLC

After the event, the players decided to go their separate ways, only to get back together at the end of January with Timothée "⁠DEVIL⁠" Démolon as their new fifth player instead of Brandon "⁠Storen⁠" Valembois.

"It is a great pleasure to join LDLC," Matthieu "matHEND" Roquigny said. "It is the first time that we are part of a professional structure, and this can only be beneficial for us.

"I would like to thank LDLC for trusting young players and for giving us a real chance to grow with these great conditions.

"I would also like to thank Platinium and also all the people who follow and support us."

The biggest issue LDLC could have with this new team is Matthieu "⁠matHEND⁠" Roquigny's VAC ban, which, according to him, was triggered after someone hacked his Steam account.

The French player and Boris "bobbY" Sanh have both contacted Valve regarding this matter and hope that their bans will be lifted soon.

It's common in other eSports. Second teams are great for practicing against because you can keep your strats on the DL as well as have scrims WHENEVER you need them

That's kind of odd that LDLC have the means to support two teams, let's hope they give them the same kind of support they gave their previous line-up. Hopefully we'll see these guys in action soon, GL to them.

MoMaN is not a newbie at choosing his line-ups, if he chose these guys, it means they have potential and are serious about making names for themselves in CS:GO. I don't see any problem in giving them the same kind of support the previous line-up had, even if the fact that they have two teams could mean otherwise.

another smart move from LDLC. first of all: those 2 teams can now both train under good conditions and even against each other before big tournaments to keep strats. they will know each other well, but nobody else. another good thing is that they got a lot of up and coming frech talents under contract. if titan/envy need fresh blood, they might/will have to look into ldlc's direction and then maybe pay some transfer fee. that way you can get back some of your investment. im really looking forward to what happens next to this teams. CLG is improving too. scene is getting bigger and bigger and thats awesome!
