BMG win Intel Challenge Katowice

Bad Monkey Gaming came out on top of Intel Challenge Katowice following a 2-0 victory over CM Storm (16-12 on de_cache and 16-5 on de_nuke).

Following the end of ESL One Katowice, which saw fnatic scoop their second major CS:GO title, the community's eyes turned to the female tournament in Poland, featuring four of the world's best teams and a $30,000 prize pool.

CM Storm, who qualified for this tournament as TBA, were the first to reach the grand final after disposing of local side ALSEN with a 2-0 scoreline.

In the other side of the bracket the heat was turned up as Bad Monkey Gaming took on UBINITED in a clash between two giants. After losing the first map, de_mirage, 8-16, Christine "potter" Chi's side equalised the series by picking up a 16-9 win on de_cache, but Zainab "zAAz" Turkie's troops ran out 16-10 winners on de_inferno to progress to the final.

BMG hardly broke a sweat in the final

As expected, Bad Monkey Gaming made light work of CM Storm in the grand and quickly emerged victorious following 16-12 and 16-5 wins on de_cache and de_nuke, respectively.

The focus is not on their skills, it's only about their gender.

There is a differense between talking about the subject of them being Girls and the subject of them being bad players.

I still don't get why there is a female league in eSports since the mainleagues played isn't restricted to males only. I understand that there is skillgap between males and females but then it should be a matter of mixteams, not female/male only teams.. Hope to see it happening some day. GG WP to BMG anyways.

Kayane is really the only female I KNOW that competes at the top of her game. It's weird but their is a HUGE skill gap between males and females in just about every competitive game. Even Hearthstone (which makes no sense really..)

Yeah, I've been wondering this also... Since there are females who have played from 1.5 days or earlier in every country basically, there shouldn't be such skillgap. I have no idea what would explain the massive skillgap between females and males..

Being good alone for a girl could be found and rare gathering 5 good girls to compete with top male teams is too hard . Even i would say pick 5 Global Elite they wont do any damage to a top team I do think if a male team pick them up Zaaz or Juliano for example they would do pretty decent job . Juliano was stand in SLTV (for like xelos's team or other top swedish guys ) and did like 2nd scoreboard 2 matches she played.

CM finally it was worth it to get carried by your boyfriend in the EU qualifier . You avoid ubinited you get a freewin vs Alsen then 7500$ and a good structure. But finally in the final getting rek by starting CT on nuke is so ... 4 teams (Best Na Team (Ubinited ) , Best polish team (but weak compared to other EU teams , BMG 1 of 3 Best team in Europe & World, and CM (german team who get qualified on internet and get 1rst Seed ( thanks to their BF) Epsilon 3DMAX Reason eSportEngine Img would have been better teams instead CM and also Alsen (but 1 polish slot so its ok) .

I don't mind female gaming. What I do mind is people like Miss Harvey claiming that they are 3x world champions. Im sorry, but no, you're not. You're a 3x female only tournament world champion. That's not even close to being a legitimate world champion. Theres a big difference from fnatic saying theyre 2x world champs, and miss harvey saying shes a 3x world champ.
