Virtus.pro top Gfinity Group B

Virtus.pro, who are attending the event with a stand-in, INSHOCK's Michał "⁠MICHU⁠" Müller, who is subbing in for Janusz "⁠Snax⁠" Pogorzelski, began their campaign in London with a convincing 2-0 victory over home side Infused, whereas Cloud9 were made to work hard to beat Orbit on three maps.

Fans were certainly left surprised to see Cloud9 began the match on a winning note and take a 16-9 victory on de_cobblestone, a map Virtus.pro are traditionally strong on, thanks to strong individual performances from Mike "⁠shroud⁠" Grzesiek and Jordan "⁠n0thing⁠" Gilbert.

But the Polish team then upped the pace and turned the series around after picking up a 16-8 win on de_nuke and a 16-5 victory on de_inferno, with Jarosław "⁠pashaBiceps⁠" Jarząbkowski taking the plaudits for some great rounds.
