Gaming Paradise with $50k tourney

A new e-sports festival called The Gaming Paradise has been announced, featuring a $50,000 CS:GO tournament.

The Gaming Paradise will take place from September 6-13 in Portorož, a coastal settlement located in southwestern Slovenia that is one of the country's most important tourist areas.

There will be two $50,000 championships, featuring Dota 2 and CS:GO, and five smaller tournaments for visitors, each one with a prize pool of $10,000.


Portorož to host gaming festival 

According to The Gaming Paradise's organisers, there will be plenty of activities to keep players and spectators entertained, including concerts, parties and a gaming exhibition.

More details about the festival and its tournament is expected to be released in the coming weeks, but tickets for the event are already available at a wide range of prices, starting from €189.

It's like Sziget for games? Full week with games, competition, music, beers and hopefully lots of sun! For only 30,- a day (okay, excluding beer in that case), seems like an okay price for me. Getting some food there shouldn't be that expensive. We've made a stop last summer in Slovenia for the much needed gasoline, which was cheap. Oh and the roads (EU money) are really great! So.. seems like a pretty good holiday thing. Drop your tent somewhere get something to drink and enjoy life (I mean CS:GO).

Good luck trying to get cheap food in Portorož which is one of the most tourist based city in slovenija :D well relatively cheap for you guys i presume :D to be short , kebap in portorož = 5€, rest of slovenija 2.5 - 3€. But what its worth, it really is a nice place overall !
