CLG complete jdm64 signing

CLG have announced that Josh "jdm64" Marzano will complete their CS:GO team.

The North American team had been scouring the market for a new fifth player since parting ways with their AWPer, Peter "⁠ptr⁠" Gurney, following a series of mixed results in online and offline matches.

Last month, CLG surprisingly announced that they were accepting applications from players from all over the world as they looked to find the replacement for ptr, who has since linked up with Luminosity Gaming.

CLG finally complete their lineup

Many believed that the move would see CLG tap into European talent, like Luminosity and ACE Gaming have recently done, but the team have instead gone for Josh "⁠jdm64⁠" Marzano, this way recreating the old NetcodeGuides roster.

"The addition of Josh as the 5th and final member of our CS:GO squad provides a solid foundation for the team to grow into the kind of top tier athletes that we believe they can be," said CLG general manager Matt "MaTTcom" Marikian.

"Given his previous history with the team they will, out the gate, have an excellent rapport that we can utilize to enhance communications and planning.

"Josh is hungry and ready to do what it takes to be the kind of team player CLG needs and we are excited to have him competing for us."

CLG currently lie in sixth place in the ESL ESEA Pro League, while they sit second in CEVO Professional. This weekend, the team will be competing in HTC Reborn Invitational, a $10,000 tournament with eight teams.

So much hate for JDM... I've played on a team with him before and not only is he a great awper (both t and ct side), but he has a great attitude. I think he's an asset for any team, especially CLG which has apparently been suffering from some chemistry issues lately. I know people are obsessed with ptr because he had 1 good LAN showing with them, but picking up josh (again) shows that they know what they were missing.

jdm is not the perfect replacement, but I think he can be better than ptr. Idk why but people overrate ptr so much. He is super inconsistent, and if you check his stats of 2015 LANs, you will see that he was the worst with the IGL FNS. He was supposed to be their star player with tarik, but he has been slumping for ages now. Don't know how he has been for LG so far, but I'm interested to see if his LAN slump will continue with them.
