Cloud9 repeat EnVyUs victory

Cloud9 have booked a place in the ESL ESEA Pro League semi-finals after beating EnVyUs 2-0 (16-12 on de_dust2 and de_cache).

The first playoff match at the ESL ESEA Pro League Finals, live from Cologne, saw EnVyUs seek revenge against Cloud9 after they had been defeated by the North American giants during the opening round of the group stage.

The opening map of this best-of-three series was de_dust2, where Cloud9 came out with guns blazing as they went for a middle rush towards B in the pistol round. EnVyUs were able to retake the site in a 2vs3 situation but still lost the round as the bomb went off.

A force buy from EnVyUs then caught Cloud9's players off-guard and allowed the Frenchmen to take control of proceedings. It would take Cloud9 some time to bounce back, but the North Americans pulled off a comeback towards the end of the half as they brought the scoreline to 8-7 in their favor.

Cloud9 were too strong for EnVyUs

In the second half, Cloud9 once again came out strongly by winning the opening three rounds, but after the first two gun rounds went EnVyUs' way they immediatelly called a timeout to talk things through.

The French team added two more rounds to their tally to make it 11-11, but they were stunned by an ecoing Cloud9 in the following round. This ended up being the turning point in the game as Sean "⁠seang@res⁠" Gares remained in the driving seat before sealing a 16-12 victory.

The map that followed was de_cache, where Cloud9 once again claimed bragging rights first by winning the pistol round as Terrorist. The North American giants were then stunned by a strong response from EnVyUs, who picked up six rounds in succession, but the French team took their feet off the pedal in the dying stages of the half and allowed their opponents to close the gap to 5-10.

A flying start from Cloud9 in the second half saw them equalise the game on ten rounds with ease. A 1on2 clutch from Ryan "⁠freakazoid⁠" Abadir inside B then put the North Americans in the lead, and EnVyUs were left to wonder what might have been as they were unable to get back into a game they had seemed to be in control of for most of the first half.

CLG is a tier 3/4 team, they had two good games, see the scenario of their country, today Liquid, Luminosity, Cloud9 and Keyd are better than them, they have difficulties in all leagues playing, impossible to be a tier 2 team , dignitas is most close to it

Finallyyyy envyus get what they deserve. Time for them to go home and come up with something new, not just play yolo cs. tbh I feel like they have been pretty bad since Kio lost his father actually. But they will come back to the same level they were at, no doubt.
