Cloud9 to Pro League final over CLG

Cloud9 will contest the ESL ESEA Pro League title after easing past CLG 2-0 (16-5 on de_cache and 16-8 on de_dust2).

The opening semi-final of the ESL ESEA Pro League offline finals brought two North American rivals together, with most stats pointing towards a clear victory for Cloud9.

The opening map of this best-of-three series was de_cache, which has been one of Cloud9's strongest maps throughout this tournament. It was thus without too much surprise that C9 took the reins of the match and stormed to a 5-0 lead.

CLG then responded by taking their first round of the game, but their inability to build on that win left their economy in shambles. Later on, Pujan "FNS" Mehta's men would finally be able to string two rounds together, but Cloud9 never took their foot off the pedal as they closed the half up 11-4.

A pistol ace by Tarik "tarik" Celik in the second half provided CLG with a glimmer of hope, but their dreams were crushed in the following round as Cloud9 regained control of the match and only let go when they had 16 rounds on the board.

Cloud9 move on to the grand final

de_dust2, CLG's map choice, then followed, and once again it was Cloud9 who came out the brighter by winning the first eight rounds of the game in convincing fashion. CLG them picked themselves up and won six rounds of their own before C9 claimed the final round to make it 9-6 in their favor.

CLG found some breathing room in the second half as they both won the pistol round and the anti-eco that followed. But a mid-B split in the third round left them frustrated and saw Cloud9 regain control of proceedings before eventually running out 16-8 winners.

dude every fuckin time he streams at the early morning CET he gets up to 10k viewers. if he streams around noon, he gets 15-20k. he gets an insane amount of donations as well as subscribers. believe it, he makes 60k$ eeeeeeeezly in 2 months. eeeeeeezly. remember the podcast with jordan? he said cunttyplaysgames, who regularly gets 2-4k viewers makes at least 15-20k $$$ a month.

check kittys top doneys and check shrouds. srsly, ive been watching a lot of ARK last month, guy with up to 20k viewers too, barely gets any doneys and subs. but shroud has a fanbase that always watches him, even more so when hes playing cs. he gets doneys and subs so often that he barely has time to play.

The man probably makes over $250,000 a year easily with streaming. Do you have any idea how high those small donations he gets constantly while streaming will add up? Add onto that the steady income he will get from having I'd estimate 2-4k subs (prob higher). This isn't even factoring in his salary or any other monetary income he receives (tournaments etc). Wouldn't be shocked myself if he netted near half a million in a year to be quite honest.

He makes 2.50$ a month per sub. He has about 2500 subs. You do the math. That's not even including sponsors, ads he runs, his constant flow of donations, csgo salary, tournament money, etc etc. if you actually believe he only makes 1-2k a month you are retarded.

He probably actually makes more per sub. Once you get over a certain amount, you get a larger % than 50% as far as I'm aware. Usually 70%, upwards in some cases.

I don't know what it is. But ESEA lans are always good for NA teams, back than people said "try that on European soil". Well we have a NA team in the finals on European soil !!! Really impressed by c9`s performance so far. If they study fnatic/VP just as hard as they did envyus. They are probably able to take at least a map or two of either team.

Way to much hype around this tournament, boring semi finals and its going to be a boring final also. CLG goes straight to Semi because they won 2 matches? TSM out because of random bo1's, and no Na'vi or NiP? Give NA 2 slots and EU 6 slots because Keyd and C9 are obv the only team who can challenge any EU teams..

"major" literally just means a big tournament.. this has a bigger prize pool than the valve sponsored tournaments.. either way its still nice cash.

for cash and organizations recognition every team wanted to be there but only 4 best of EU and NA qualified. Stickers and box drops in streams isn't what the game is all about
