NiP, Cloud9 top ESWC groups

The first two groups of ESWC 2015 have come to a close, with Ninjas in Pyjamas and Cloud9 both making it a perfect three wins.

Group A of ESWC 2015, which is taking place at the Société des Arts Technologiques, in Montreal, has brought the biggest upset of this tournament so far as Keyd Stars have been sent packing following defeats against Cloud9 and FlipSid3 Tactics.

Even without their full roster because of Georgi "WorldEdit" Yaskin's visa problems, the Ukrainian team relied on the firepower provided by their substitute player, Spencer "Hiko" Martin to book a place in the quarter-finals of the tournament despite a 10-16 loss against Cloud9 in the final round.

Keyd Stars failed to make it out of the groups

The other group went according to script as NiP eased past every opponent, including Team Liquid, who were able to take just two rounds against the Swedes. The most surprising result was perhaps that of the match between QeeYou and LDLC White, as WeiJie "zhokiNg" Zhong's team ran out 16-13 victors, which could be seen as a sign that Chinese teams are starting to get a grip on the game.

The ESWC group stage will resume at 21:45 with teams like EnVyUs, Renegades and Na`Vi taking the stage.

NiP dominating low teams as usual, then they get a lucky bracket as always and move up until they face a tier1 team, then gg. The only persons more blind than NiP players are its fans.

HLTV could show us the complete results of the pools in their news. A simple table or screen of the table as a bonus to the text and everything is even clearer.

Wow c9 had to beat flipsid3 and keyd to advance ? nice :D Hopefully they can make it back to back final's. I'm glad to see the Renegade boys made it through as well. Though that Envyus match looked rough hopefully they bounce back.
