Team Kinguin have announced that they have parted ways with coach Danniel "Dalito" Morales due to his VAC ban.

Formerly a player in teams like Lemondogs and AliGon, Danniél "⁠dalito⁠" Morales had recently embraced a career as manager and coach of Team Kinguin, the international roster assembled by Mikail "⁠Maikelele⁠" Bill and Adil "⁠ScreaM⁠" Benrlitom in May.

Since then, he had continuously been linked with a Steam account that was banned on May 27 of 2014, roughly a month after he attended Copenhagen Games with Lemondogs, where he played alongside Joel "⁠emilio⁠" Mako, who would also be banned later that year.

dalito has been released by Kinguin

James Lampkin, senior manager at ESL, recently told the Daily Dot that players who are suspended from all Valve-sponsored events are also prohibited from assisting teams during the majors, which includes coaching them on site. This means, even if Kinguin qualified for ESL One Cologne, dalito would not be able to coach the team and instruct the players in between rounds.

And after coming across reports of dalito's VAC ban, Kinguin have decided to part ways with the Swedish coach as they do not want to be associated with cheating.

"We've all watched the scene develop over time and as the majors have piled up, the accusations of unfair play and cheating have risen," a statement from Kinguin read.

"It's a no-debate issue for everyone in the team: Proven cheaters will never be welcome here.

"With the news of Dalito's VAC ban, it should come as no shock to those who know us that Dalito will be released from the Team Kinguin colours effective immediately."

The news comes as a huge blow to Kinguin, especially considering that dalito had just started acting as an ingame leader for the team, following Alexander "⁠SKYTTEN⁠" Carlsson's departure. In his first match in the role, Kinguin beat Virtus.pro 2-1 at the FACEIT League 2015 Stage 2 finals, thumping the Polish giants 16-0 on de_cache.

Kinguin are currently bootcamping in Madrid ahead of this weekend's offline qualifier for ESL One Cologne. The team's first match in Germany will see them take on PENTA Sports, on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Kinguin stated that they are on the lookout for a replacement for dalito, who is expected to be revealed only after the qualifier for the major.

Kind of sad that there is no hope for redemption. He led the team well as coach and IGL, but one cheat will ruin his career. I think the penalties for cheating are way to harsh when it comes to the pro players. This is their entire life and working career. A one year suspension for cheating/throwing should be enough, CSGO has only been out like 3 years. I know my opinion won't be popular, as the gaming community is always out for blood over the smallest thing they dislike or disagree with.

With all respect but, cheaters are cheaters and we don't need them in our games. And just especially when you are a pro player, you should know what you risk when cheating. No excuse that this game is their entire life and working career. If it comes to cheating, the only correct option is a zero tolerance policy.

I know he's supposed to go to Japan but I think he should reconsider for the insane salary he could get from Kinguin and the bonuses he would get if they did very well because of him. I think he could be looking at a minimum of 3500€, which is the salary of the players, plus more if he helped them to big results. Like 10 grand if they won Cologne and felt he was the reason.

So because he only played at a lower tier he isn't knowledgeable about the game? You might follow the scene, but you don't understand the dynamics it seems. In game intelligence and tactical knowledge is not defined by the tier you play in, though of course it helps playing with and against the best, but as you can see most experts like threat, lurppis etc have never played CS:GO at a high level either, neither have most coaches or analysts. Out of the few "coaches" around dalito actually had some calling experience from a coach perspective before joining Kinguin. I don't have to tell you how rare a thing that is. Most likely the reason to him being in Kinguin was because of Maikelele, so you're right in that department, but it is also due to having some experience. I ment the clear difference between day 1 and 2, not the difference between Skytten and dennis - btw Skytten was one of their best players at the only lan they played before that.

what you are saying it actually sounds like u think its a good idea to have guys like Thoorin/semmler etc to call for a team. Semmler is a caster and Thoorin is a numbers analyst, though I am sure that Thoorin could think up some pretty solid tactics, but he doesn't have the personality nor the experience to really help out a team as a coach. When I referred to analysts I was thinking about someone like ioRek. Bringing up the names you do, just makes you look stupid. Despite I am telling you that dalito has experience in calling you're completely disregarding it. Sure it takes time to be a good caller and dalito is one of the few with that experience, though he of course could become better. He also has tier 3-4 experience as a player much like threat had with Acer. Now threat would possibly be the better choice if he was available, but he wasn't. Yeah I watched them and yeah they win because they outaim opponents, but I also watched the strats and they became much more of a unit on the second day compared to the first. They also relaxed more in their game. Was it key? yeah, but that is something only my experience can tell me, experience you don't have.
