A lineup based in the United Arab Emirates brings together plenty of old names in order to make a splash in CS:GO.

Just Passing By is a team composed of Dubai-based players who are looking to both represent the Middle East in CS:GO and who also currently play on European servers in leagues and during practices.

The team won SoStronk's King of the Hill #3 tournament in July, a tournament where India's best teams duel it out for ₹ 50,000 (~$780).

havoK & jpb try to put the Middle East on the map in CS:GO

Several old school players fill spots on the team, as three of them have experience playing for the storied team IMPULSE in 1.6 days. Joining players Love "⁠havoK⁠" Paras, Abdullah "⁠t0ks⁠" Al-Ghafari, and Ali "⁠st1cker⁠" Al-Mehairi will be also be a new face, Ahmed "Baddyyy" Hayder, who hails from Iraq.

Fleshing out the team will be Obaid "⁠breAker⁠" Al-Muhairi, who has CS:GO experience from attending MSI Beat it! 2013 with the team Falood Jacksons.

Just Passing By's lineup is currently:

Team captain havoK spoke to HLTV.org about the team's potential and its search for an organisation:

"I'm pretty sure not many have heard of a team from the Middle East region but hopefully that's about to change. We've never had the chance to compete at any international tournaments due to many being invite only or on EU online qualifiers in which we ping 120ish that makes it really tough.

However, that will not stop us, we practice atleast thrice a week against EU teams with the ping disadvantage even though there are no tournaments to look forward to, mainly because if anything does come up, we are willing to prove that this region is worth the shot. We're currently looking for an organization, for whoever is interested, please get in touch with us at [email protected]. Thank you," Paras said.

The team plan to compete in ESEA Asia in the upcoming season as well as in CEVO's EU Main division. The squad will also take part in PGL's European qualifiers this coming weekend.

I think you are wrong. I have not seen them play that much, but I know that they have a lot of great individual skill, and I am sure they'll become at least a challenging tier 2 if they could get some pro matches. I think they are qualifying for an ESEA league or something, and if they win the qualifier, they'll get to play on LAN or something. Could be wrong though.

lmao okay, mate. Natosaphix currently has 135,060 subscribers and 16,983,678 views on Youtube. He has almost 8000 fans on Facebook, and he is one of the most known European CS:GO streamers. Rezex has just under 2000 subscribers on Youtube, but has just over 4000 subscribers on his livestream. Having over 16 million views on Youtube alone as a CS:GO player is a lot, and it's surely more than Just Passing By has. Do a survey, and ask about which name most people have heard of. Natosaphix or eg. t0ks.

I partly agree with you ffs, but you need to understand this; For a new team to get good (in this case against higher tier teams) matches, they need to be at least a tiny bit known. Kinguin jumped right into the scene, and were awarded with tier 2 and 1 games right away, even though they had not played together as a team, before they got picked up by Kinguin. They got invited to play, and look at them now. They have improved to a point, where most people consider them tier 1. You can't do everything youself as a team. Sometimes you need support from orgs, sponsors and what not. You are right. mTw is not back on their feet, if you compare this current team with old Ave and co. team, but you could at least give them some time, and maybe see how they'll play for yourself. You might even need it, in case you are going to play against them.

Difference is that the Kinguin players have played at tier 1, 2 and 3 before. Where the players from mTw have never been above a tier 5. We are also talking the difference between a pro team and an amateur team when it comes to sponsors and their organization - as far as I am aware. So there are multiple things that merrit invitations for Kinguin compared to mTw.

m8 people are diffrent, we are looking and behaving diffrent. Is it racist, that for example black people are better in sports, asians are more intelligent then white?
