Kinguin survive Immunity scare

Team Kinguin came from behind to beat Immunity 16-13 on de_dust2 and move on to face Cloud9.

Day two at ESL One Cologne began with a clash between two teams hoping to get back on their feet after giving a poor account of themselves on the opening day.

Kinguin started brightest in the match and overturned an early deficit after losing the pistol round thanks to some sick shots by Dennis "⁠dennis⁠" Edman. Immunity then picked themselves up and won seven consecutive rounds, with Ricardo "⁠Rickeh⁠" Mulholland keeping his opponents at bay with the AWP.

After taking a 9-6 lead to the break, Immunity put even more pressure on Kinguin's shoulders as they won the opening three rounds on the Terrorist side. The European team then picked up two rounds of their own to cut the gap to 8-12, but then Immunity responded and won their first gun round as Terrorists to get dangerously close to the 16th-round mark.

At this point, this was Immunity's game to lose, but Kinguin's greater experience gave them the edge as Nikola "⁠LEGIJA⁠" Ninić's troops won eight rounds in a row to seal a 16-13 win that takes them through to the decider match, against Cloud9-

Dno what have happened, they were completely different team there. They were beasts online, beating mouz 3-0 easily etc, now almost lost vs random aus team :/

hint:legija i wont speak ill of him nor just kidding. but only two fact are diffarent from before 1.its on lan 2.they got legija so their playing were pretty weird. they continued to get sudden attack from their back completely during 1st half. it rarely happened on online. aww. why it happend. its... just because of tension?

Why would he know? We live in diffrent timezones so all the games from your country are live in the middle of the night for us. Also lets be honest the australian scene isn't that great.

13-8 up, so close to closing it out...just played a little bit too loose and confident imo. Little bit more structure when the CT's were fairly broke and they steamroll the last couple of rounds. GG

Both teams need to improve their T side strats... otherwise they have absolutely no chance to win tier 1 teams

Nice tactics Immunity, going mid to CT spawn then to A, fox wouldn't have suggested that strat and dropping glocks would have been better

Now this is what I call a major matchup.

T1 players - dennis, scream & rain T2 players - maikelele & fox Not just this match, but overall.. I don't think Kinguin will compete for majors unless those 2 step it up and are more consistent.

As I always thought about this team - emagine is decent, USTILO & Rickeh are amazing players and James & SnypeR are too bad to play on big lan events. They should find two another players.
