LDLC Blue win ESWC PGW Open

While most of the community had their eyes turned to DreamHack Open Cluj-Napoca, the city of Paris hosted an offline event that featured most of the top teams in France bar EnVyUs and Titan, both of whom were at the major.

With $15,000 on offer, the tournament, which took place as part of the Paris Games Week fair, featured 16 sides from all over the country, including LDLC White, who had attended the ESWC event in Montreal during the summer.

The quarter-final stage feature a surprising result as LDLC Blue, who had not even topped their group, were able to defeat melty, featuring Steeve "⁠Ozstrik3r⁠" Flavigni as a stand-in, by a 2-1 scoreline.

The two LDLC squads would face each other in the title decider, with the White squad taking the lead following a 16-13 victory on de_mirage. However, the Blue team pulled back with a 16-12 win on de_inferno before completing a reverse sweep with a 16-6 mauling on de_cobblestone.
