Group B: Cloud9, Method advance

Group B of the RGN Pro Series brought even more surprises as Cloud9 completed a perfect 3-0 series whereas Method advanced at the expense of compLexity and Nexus Storm.

Group B commenced following multiple issues at the venue that forced Group C to be postponed until the next day.

Cloud9, who are using Braxton "⁠swag⁠" Pierce as a stand-in for Sean "⁠seang@res⁠" Gares at the event, set the tone and pacing for the group as its obvious leaders, and managed to down all three teams they played very convincingly.


Easy peasy swag n' squeezy

Oddly enough, the team's opener against compLexity, who were considered to be the strongest team of the bunch, was where Cloud9 allowed the least rounds (only one) whereas the other two games featured 16-2 scorelines.

Battle for second seed in the group was primarily between the two Pro League teams that are compLexity and Method although Nexus Storm, who are currently a team in ESEA Premier, made things interesting with a 15-15 tie against Kory "⁠SEMPHIS⁠" Friesen's men.

Ultimately however, it was Method who upset compLexity and knocked the favoured competitor out of the tournament, giving Method a slot in the playoffs.
