Qualifiers for DH Leipzig announced

DreamHack has announced the details about the European qualifying process for the Open event in Leipzig.

Hosted by FACEIT, the qualifiers will be played in two different stages, the first of which will be an open single-elimination tournament for up to 512 teams that will take place on January 9.

The top eight teams from the open qualifier will then advanced to the closed tournament, on January 10, in which they will be joined by eight seeded sides. These 16 teams will be placed into a single-elimination, best-of-three bracket, with the two finalists securing spots in DreamHack Open Leipzig's $100,000 tournament.


E-frag.net have already signed up for the open qualifier 

Virtus.pro, Luminosity, mousesports and Natus Vincere have already received invitations to attend the German event, taking place from January 22-24, with two more invitees due to be revealed shortly.

Teams can sign up for the open qualifier by clicking here. The schedule for the closed qualifier is the following:

  • 12:00 - Round of 16
  • 15:00 - Quarter-finals
  • 18:00 - Semi-finals
