gBots announce new team

gBots maintain their core and add two new players in a bid to become Spain's number one team after a hint of success nationally.

After winning the Spanish LVP (one of Spain's most prestigious national events) over the now defunct x6tence—although in abscence of Epsilon—at the Gamergy LAN in Madrid three weeks ago, gBots have decided to strengthen their side by adding Christian "⁠loWel⁠" Garcia Antoran, who had been playing as a stand-in for the team at said tournament and FPL-famous David "⁠Kairi⁠" de Miguel.

A new chance for Kairi to find his old form again

Two of the players, Oscar "⁠mixwell⁠" Cañellas and Rubén "⁠TorPe⁠" Jesús Gómez Rodríguez, will be living at the team's gaming house near Barcelona while Carlos "⁠peelk⁠" Barrio and the two new additions will join whenever necessary to bootcamp or play important online matches.

When enquired about the future, team owner Adrià Gispert said the team's goals are to dominate the Spanish scene and be able to compete internationally by being able to field a solid and consistent lineup, something that has seemed particularly elusive in Spain since the disbandment of Wizards.

loWel joins the ranks full time

gBots will be playing LVP, SocialNat, and ESL in Spain, as well as CEVO Main and ESEA Premiere. They will also be participating in the upcoming Dreamhack qualifier and European minor qualifier.

Both loWel and Kairi have made short statements on the team's website.

loWel's statement:

"I am competing again in a team I have felt very comfortable in lately as a stand-in. With the addition of Kairi and myself we will probably be able to achieve great things, I will give my best as I have always done, so... let's go!"

Kairi's statement:

"I am very happy to be part of this team and this organization. I will try to give my all as I do in any team I play for and I hope we can finally make a team to compete both inside and outside of Spain thanks to our sacrifice, work, effort, and discipline. Thanks to everyone who supports me and see you soon."

Wizards for Spain and a variation of the LGB team for Norway were the best teams of the countries once. I wish wizards would get a new team and get them to a major (dat logo :)

They had the right line up, but there weren't any majors :D Nor do I remember if they were actually top20 cause I didn't follow the entire scene then. I just remember them being quiet good with some nice results vs very good teams and a couple of upsets. LGB obv. made it in Katowice 2015.

Lowel, Kairi and Mixwell are the most talented spanish players in CS so will be good to watch them playing together. Peelk is a good player overall so he can fit in the team. Torpe maybe is the worst player in the team but nvm he is a good IGL something like Ex6 or gob b. But I think ALEX would be the perfect pick for that team.
